Been meaning to come to this bar since moving to the neighborhood a few months ago and finally did tonight. The bartender Pam rules! Exactly what you want from a local corner bar. Real, a little rough around the edges, but so welcoming. A lot of first timers tonight, and she remembers everyone’s name. She made my experience and I’ll be a regular now for sure.
This is my neighborhood dive bar with the big Old Style sign. It might not be your neighborhood dive bar with the big Old Style sign, but it's a damn good one and we're plenty okay with that. There's a payphone, artificial grass patio, cold beer only in cans, but you know taps are always suspicious at dive bars it's nice to just cut that step out. Diverse clientele and regulars, but not the point where it's an old man's club or anything.
Walked by a million times before finally stopping in. The downer is nothing on tap, which still floors me for a tavern. Nice patio. Certainly there are loyal patrons, but the place was pretty empty when we stopped by on a weekend.
