Update: It's s probably been 2 or so years since I've been in. Was in the neighborhood and had to stop in for nostalgia. Service is just as good as I remember and the food is still top notch! Shrimp Po boy and the wings tasted like I remember. Love the addition of the On Trend: Fire : It Slaps cocktail menu.
Excellent craft beer selection beyond just IPA's. Food has been consistently solid for the 7+ years I've been coming here.

Great food, incredible drinks, unbeatable atmosphere. Local Option has quickly become our favorite neighborhood staple after moving to Lincoln Park a little over a year ago. It a quirky personality, creative menu, interesting history, and friendly staff. We always look forward to catching up with Tony when we stop in. Get the Wizard and you won’t regret it!
The moment we opened the door to walk in, a non-leashed pitbull began barking and ran towards us. Needless to say, we left and are not coming again.

Beware of the power tripping bartender. Don't ask a question at the bar or they will kick out your entire group. Not even a beer in and a member of our group asked to try a few beers and the bartender just decided we all had to close out and leave. Too bad, seemed like a decent spot otherwise
