My favorite bar anywhere. I live in TN but have been stopping in when in town since 2010. I don't even think about it. It's a must.

Forever been on my **** list after their manager scoffed at my pregnant wife for asking for a non-alcoholic drink.

This place has the best vibes ever, good beer selection, good liquor, and excellent food as well. The bartender is super cool and plays classic movies all night. I recommend checking out the handshake menu, and if you need food the wings are very good and the fries come out hot and fresh! I wish we lived within walking distance because we'd go here a lot more!

Great bar for the alternative and punk crowd! The chicken wings were incredible and the beer selection was diverse. I heard three The Damned songs. Doxx (the bartender) was friendly and talkative.

Seriously loved this bar. The bartender was excellent and fun to talk to. He also made a perfect aviator cocktail. My husband loved the beers here and I very much enjoyed the decor. Would so like a bar like this in my neighbourhood - it was great.

Can't praise this place highly enough. The beer range was amazing and the bar tender was brilliant. Perfect bar.

Had a lot of great beer and the music they were playing was deep cuts from all over the globe.

I love a great place for craft beer and food. Unfortunately, this isn't one of the better options. And to boot, they pour salt in your wounds after a night of stuffy bros bombaring you by rounding up your bill and automatically tipping themselves. Their beers are vastly overpriced, the ambiance is generally quite loud to where you can't hear others talking next to you, the beer is like waiting for service at Oktoberfest (yeah, get ready to wait), and the waitstaff has been rude in the past. But it's the "we're going to take more of your money and say we round up" assumption that annoys me to no end. They have menu prices designed to maximize how much they get rounding up, and they also include tax in their tip estimations. This place is ripe to report to the state for their shady business practices. The beer was the only highlight here, once you get it, but is ruined by the rest of the lousy experience. Won't be returning here ever.

This is one of my favorite bars in the world hands down. The beer list is so good that I would call it "curated." There is always something rare and hard to find on tap. The food is far better than you'd think too. It hangs with anything in Chicago. The kitchen downstairs open until later in the afternoon though so you usually can't get food for lunch. The staff there is awesome. They live talking beer and are cool with the regulars and the people like me who blow into town 3 or 4 times a year. It is small and gets crowded fast. The music is always metal and I'd call the playlist curated as well. The beers they brand Local Option are collaborations with top-tier breweries and are among the best on the menu.Parking: Parking can be tight but you can usually find something within a block maybe two max.Kid-friendliness: Not a place for the niños. Adults only IMO.

I have never written a review before, but this place made my friends and I feel so uncomfortable. I went with my husband and two friends from out of town here to get a couple drinks and play a card game that we enjoy. The staff was not very friendly to start, but we understood the environment and kept to ourselves. Then they started playing a movie that had repetitive graphic rape scenes in it on all of the TVs. My husband politely asked the staff if they could change the TVs as it made all of us women very uncomfortable. To which the staff responded "so what it's not real". We immediately left as it was clear that this was what we were going to be surrounded by the rest of the evening. Women screaming as they are violently raped by multiple men and murdered. Also the cocktails are $16. What a bummer that this was my friends neighborhood bar experience in Chicago.

Good beer but expensive and no prices listed. Just no thanks

Try the speedway stout. Can't go wrong.
