Food is ok and bartenders and staff are amazing! But they keep raising prices and happy hour now is basically regular prices for drinks and ok for mediocre food! They lost me as a customer when I can get better happy hour elsewhere

This is perfect place in Andersonville as Mexican food. In happy hour, the margarita slush was soooo good with a taco!

We got the shrimp burrito bowl, nachos and biscuits and gravy. Expected larger portions, but the food was good. Horchata was delicious. Biscuits had a strong garlic or onion aftertaste but the texture was great.

Had items missing from take out order. I set up a new order with additional items to bring in the missing items but just needed to chat to confirm the ability to do so. I wanted the items instead of a refund. I called five times in a row to try to get to a person and no one picked up. This is all during normal business hours. Honestly I am extremely disappointed with the lack of attention in both packaging orders and answering the phone.

I do really enjoy the food. But this is unacceptable.

My date and I picked this spot somewhat randomly, since neither of us had been here before. It turned out to be an excellent choice and did not disappoint!

The food was excellent - I had a carnitas bowl and they had a jer chicken taco, both delicious. The service was especially exquisite and we were both delighted to know we were amongst our people.

We will definitely be back.

Vibes and service were good and drinks were decent, but food was not good. Everyone in the group was kinda disappointed with their entrees and we all ended up with tummy aches. Salty but unseasoned.

Me and my partner’s favorite date night spot. They were getting a little inconsistent with the heavy staff turnover there for a minute but things seem to have leveled out and the food and drink has been consistently good our last few visits. I really like it for what it is (which is a fairly creative tex-mex spot that’s part of a large chicago restaurant group). Wish I could respond directly to the gringo reviews. The food is NOT spicy but I would also not come here expecting the best tacos of your life — but their frozen mezcal margaritas are bomb.

Not for us. Limited options and the food was overly spicy. 🌶️ Our Waitress greeted us with, “Nothing has gone right for me today…” and continued on that theme for our meal. We did not finish, she never asked how anything was and we had to flag her down to leave and get food that was edible. Also ordered a zero proof drink that was also not consumable. Other questions for your money would be better.

Patio area was nice. Food seemed to be overpriced ($7 per taco) and they didn’t have steak as an option. We had a group of about 12 of us and the wait staff, while they were all nice, kept coming to our table with orders that were not ours and we had to send back. We were in a rush to leave and we found out after the fact that they charged us for 2 extra rice and beans that we didn’t order. When presented with the bill, the waitress just shows the total, not the itemized bill. We should’ve asked for it but would’ve been nice just to have it upfront. Also, I dislike when the staff stands over you while the tip menu shows up. An uncomfortable feeling. Also, for a Mexican spot, I was surprised they didn’t have chilaquiles on the menu for brunch.

Wouldn’t recommend for larger groups as the bill can get out of hand quickly.

I have been to a ton of places in the city for tacos, living here for 12 years, and I have to say with 100% confidence that the fried chicken tacos are THE best taco I’ve ever had in my life. My brain BROKE when I took my first bite. Maybe I’m crazy but seriously, the most scrumptious thing ever and I don’t know how they do it. It absolutely blew my mind and is unlike any taco I’ve had. At the very least, if I worship the ground these tacos walk on, you will have an incredible experience with this food. Get there now.
