Absolutely loved my visit to Lonsesome Rose! The vibrant and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a fun night out. I was particularly impressed with their vegan queso—it was rich, creamy, and flavorful. It paired perfectly with the freshly made tortilla chips. They had an impressive selection of drinks, and I opted for the mango margarita. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Overall, the service was excellent, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu. If you’re a fan of Mexican cuisine, especially if you’re looking for vegan options, this place is a must-visit!

Lonesome Rose is a gem in the heart of Chicago! The ambiance is casual yet trendy, perfect for a laid-back evening with friends or a cozy date night. The menu is a fantastic mix of Southwestern-inspired dishes, with fresh and bold flavors. Their tacos are a must-try, especially the crispy fish and pork al pastor. The cocktails are equally impressive, with creative takes on classics like margaritas and palomas.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the rooftop bar added a fun, lively vibe to the experience. Overall, Lonesome Rose is a great spot for delicious food, good drinks, and a chill atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Great place for tacos and drinks! We started with a giant plate of chips and salsa, the salsa was sooo good! Then we had four different tacos and the al pastor definitely stood out. The breading on the fish one was a bit too heavy. The Mexican corn came out a bit different than expected, usually it's roasted corn on the cob with all the fixings, but it came as mixed corn kernels instead, definitely a skip. Finished things off with a chocotaco and that was amazing, hard shelled chocolate dipped waffle cone served with horchata ice cream and nuts. A yummy end to an otherwise ok taco experience, but overall it was pretty good.

We used to go to the Logan square location when we lived in that neighborhood. The food was always decent there but nothing earth shattering. The service was always good though. We decided to try out the Andersonville spot and we were so disappointed. The Yelp reviews regarding service were spot on. The staff were incredibly apathetic and unfriendly. It was as if our presence was an inconvenience to them. We sat at the bar initially and asked for the queso and guac combo. Instead of bringing out the usual 1/2 portion combo that we got in Logan they brought out two full sizes of guac and queso (meant for 4-6 people) even though there was just 2 of us. I was shocked that it costs $24 for average queso and subpar guac. The bar tender wasn’t apologetic at all. When we moved to a table, our server took forever to take our order and walked by us dozens of times until we literally had to flag her down for the check. Her attitude ruined our experience there. We won’t be going back and will not be encouraging our friends to go there. Logan Square location we still have love for you.
Everything was so good! Fantastic service and the vegan queso didn't even taste vegan

An extremely cute and simple spot to get some great food and drinks.
My wife and I absolutely love the happy hour where you can get delicious frozen margaritas (with tequila OR mezcal which I appreciate) for like 6 bucks and a chip and dip tray for 8 bucks which is an absolute steal in the economy. The al pastor is some of the best I've ever had and I've had a lot in a lot of place from here to Texas. Highly recommend this place during happy hour or otherwise its just a great place to have a fantastic Mexican meal! The staff is always super friendly and attentive too!

This was my 4th time here. I do feel like the price is very expensive for what you get. And this time, the food quality seemed different and lacking. I got a 18 dollar steak burrito. And it’s literally a small burrito in a plate. I could not find the steak in it at all. It was very spicy. Gauc had pumpkin seeds on it. Maybe I didn’t read that right but I was not a fan. Also ordered a plain steak taco with cheese for a very picky eater. Was assured it would not have anything on the meat however there was cilantro and other things in it and it was like deep fried or something and had burnt cheese on it and the very picker eater would not eat it. So 7.00 dollars wasted there as well. The atmosphere is beautiful. The server was nice. But I don’t think the price was worth that quality this time. 1 bowl. 1 burrito. 1 “plain” taco and a side quesadilla (1/2 a quesadilla and a app of gauc ran about 90 bucks. No alcohol involved.

Went here for a work event and the waitstaff was so friendly! The food was DELICIOUS (I ate far too many churros). The guac, tacos, & elote are now some of my favorite in Chicago. The vibes are cute, as well, very chill and lots of natural light!
