Here's the thing about Long Room... It's a bar, but I've never had an alcoholic drink there! You see, during the day it is also a coffee shop and restaurant. But it's, like, the best coffee shop, with great locally-roasted beans. And their latte game is TOP NOTCH. They make all their own syrups, and they are unique and flavorful. Meanwhile, the food is different depending on the day, as different restaurants share the kitchen. The one thing they all seem to have in common is their commitment to fresh, homemade food served with kindness (literally one of the pop up restaurants is called The Nice Guys!). If I lived in this neighborhood I would be here daily, no joke!
After a long day at the rail yard, Long Room was such a relief! The drinks? Long! The staff? Long! The vibe? Long! Everything about this place rocked!!!! Although I did lose in uno tonight, the night was overall a win because I spent time at the long bar with my long brethren! 10/10.
Jason runs a great spot at long room. Easily my new favorite bar on the Northside. We stayed upstairs at the Airbnb too. 10/10 all around visit, drinks and service
Cool and adorable
Really great drinks for a decent price. The service here is also amazing! I got the queenie (pictures) salt creation, and the parallelogram. All of the drinks were delicious. They have a fun photobooth in the back as well.
Stopped by around 3:10 PM on a Tuesday to grab food and a quick drink, but unfortunately the kitchen had just closed from 3-5 (or 6 PM). I was met by great service from Ollie, who recommended the drink Daquiri 4-Way which was SO delicious! The Parallelogram is a close second. The prices are amazing and I’m looking forward to coming back to try the food as well - will update then.
The staff does great at assisting you and they gladly provide the service to you. The beer is a def go to here, but drinks are not the best if you’re looking for a great cocktail. They have a connection to “Bad Johnny’s Kitchen” from inside and the food is amazing!
I love the fact they have lots of space to sit at and a patio. Bathrooms need to be cleaned, the experience is unpleasant and it’s very unhygienic.
I've only been here a couple times. my first visit a couple years ago was pretty decent. Visiting again over the weekend was pretty disappointing. The space itself is cool. cocktails were not. Pass
TERRIBLE first impression all thanks to the male bartender who completely ignored me and would not take my drink order. I live in the neighborhood and decided to try this place since it’s so close. It was a Friday evening and I sat at the bar with my date. We got the menu, decided what we wanted, but that’s as far as we got. We waited about 15 minutes and this bartender took everyone’s order but mine, even when he clearly saw me trying to get his attention. It wasn’t even that busy. What gives? He never even gave me the CHANCE to piss him off, so what could I have done for him to flat out ignore me? This isn’t my kind of place I will gladly never return.
First … and last … time at Long Room
My wife and I recently moved-in, very literally, across the alley from the Long Room and decided to check it out Friday night. We love getting to know our neighborhood businesses, and since the weather was great for March, wanted to grab some drinks and food. The place was lively but not overly packed. Grabbed a seat at the bar about 7:00, asked the [male] bartender for a drink menu, and that was the last time he spoke to us.
Without exaggeration, he refused to acknowledge us after that moment. It’s not simply that the bartender overlooked us, he took drink orders from people to the right and left of where we were sitting. Each time we gave a nod or small wave to try and get his attention, it was obvious he chose to actively ignore us. It could have only been a conscious effort to take drink orders from people on either side, while purposefully ignoring us.
After wasting 20 minutes sitting at the bar with the bartender refusing to take our order - or even look at or speak to us - we decided to leave. I can’t imagine we could have done or said anything to deserve that treatment as the single interaction we had with him was to ask for the drink menu. After that, it’s like we didn’t even exist.
Reading other recent reviews, it seems like the Long Room has a problem with at least one person behind the bar consistently being rude to customers. I doubt we’ll be back.
We could have spent our time & money next door at a neighborhood watering hole. Instead the bartender decided we weren’t worth acknowledging as customers or as people. It’s a shame, really, since our windows overlook their outdoor patio … which can get pretty loud in the summer.

Went there for a late night drink and would never recommend this location. Bar tender closing on 2/23/25 disrespected a innocent customer. Would like to be contacted by the manager/owner of the establishment to place a formal complaint.
Great beer. Bartender added a salt rim of his special mix to make me a quasi-chelada and it was delicious.
A chill time
Great vibes! Love the cafe-bar mix functioning. Got a pour over coffee and it was delicious!
Been going here since 2007. Friendly people, great ambiance especially when you're in a group! Bartenders know the in's and out of the beer and cocktail selection.
