Dear Lost Lake, I read that you are closing shop for a while and I couldn't help myself but cry over it like the demise of a close friend. And it is important that people read about it too. This has been one of the few last standing unpretentious, truly fun, treat-everyone-equally bars in the city. And a closing it takes away another string from the fabric of humanity. Its been a part of countless life decisions, happy moments, occasions or late night hunger pangs like the silent friend in your group with great taste in music who also makes their own cocktails. Couldn't love you enough. Firstly, Covid didn't fail you, but we, as fellow patrons, customers and the extended society failed you. What people fail to realize is places like these aren't just a place for food or drinks, they are what makes a city what it is. If you love a bar, or a restaurant, spread the word and show the compassion. Secondly, you may close shop, but you'll live in our hearts cos its the people who made it what it is, the person who styled the place, who picked the funky glasses, the chefs, the line cooks, the bartenders, the neon signs, all these make it a livin-breathing part of our lives. And when you decide to come back, we'll be waiting for you, not like the 4th Matrix kinda way, but we ll be there. For others: Food: everything is great. The chicken and the fries are amazing Drinks: everything Ambience: Cant love it enough. Love, The City of Chicago

I had my birthday here last night and it still remains my favorite drink spot in Logan Square! Come for the cocktails, but enjoy top notch asian fusion. We ordered the Mushroom Congee among a few other things, but and it was the standout - I am now scouring the internet for a similar recipe. The other reason why I will always come back is the staff! There's few other spots in the city where the staff is as warm and welcoming and we always have impeccable service. Bravo on your shift away from tiki to tropical, you'll always be one of my favorite Chicago spots!

First time back after they reopened and have to say it was a letdown. It felt empty in there since they took out a lot of the decor in getting rid of the "Tiki" theme-when exactly did tiki become offensive??? The cool dark cave area in back is now bright white and lit up which completely defeats what made it a cool spot to sit in back. The drinks were fine but they forgot to put in our food order. BY the time I asked the waitress, we had to move from our table to the bar with the time constraint. The food finally came but was partially wrong-by this time we didn't care enough and just wanted to eat. As another reviewer put it, this place lost its magic and I doubt I'll go back anytime soon. I used to love this place but it's not the same. Shame that another great spot in Chicago has to go downhill. I sensed it wouldn't be as good when they changed the theme.

I've been wanting to check out this place and finally got to this past week! I've only been driving past it almost everyday. It's a block or two away from the heart of Logan Square, so street parking isn't really an issue. We arrived just in time for their holiday pop up. They were serving a few of their traditional tiki drinks, but had a nice selection of their seasonal cocktails. I ordered a mezcal based one, as well as their coffee based drink (sorry, can't recall the names), and they were both fantastic! The coffee one was dangerous, I could have sipped on that all night. They offered some light bites, but the drinks are the real star of the show. Tip and tax are included in their prices ($18 for a cocktail). They check vax cards at the door, and the servers are attentive with water refills and next rounds. A well run establishment with fantastic drinks. Def coming here again!

Solid cocktails and really friendly, helpful staff to help you navigate the menu. I love coming here especially during the holidays when they have all their decorations up. The tropical themed drinks here are well balanced, especially compared to other similar themed bars in Chicago. I ordered the Little Saint Nog (eggnog drink), Hark the Herald Angels Sing (something like that) and the Hot Buttered Rum. The bar also sent us a Bunny's Banana Daiquiri too (complete with a banana dolphin with a cherry beach ball- too cute!!). My favorite drinks that night probably were the banana daiquiri, Little Saint Nog and the Hark the Herald Angels Sing. I appreciated being able to order a half pour of the eggnog since it can be pretty heavy. Also love that their prices are inclusive of tip so that you don't have to worry about it and you know that the staff is getting paid equitably.

Came in for some fabulous drinks as usual and ended up ordering some food for the first time. WOW. The hamachi crudo, the congee, and the dang chili chicken blew us away. I'm gluten free and it was such a treat to be able to enjoy all these dishes that were so delectable and unique. Will absolutely be coming back for all of these again more often! Super cheers to our wonderful servers and the playlist. 6 stars!

Every single thing we ordered was out of this world! This place is a gem. Can’t wait to come back and try more cocktails and perfectly balanced dishes.

Not so much a tiki bar anymore but had a very delicious drink!

The only thing SPOOKY about this place is the bathroom door. The libations were sublime, with mocktail options for those who choose not to drink. The lake might be lost, but the service is NOT. The entire staff is an absolute delight. A+

I used to live half a block away from here. I was spoiled. Love Lost Lake. It's so unassuming. Trust me when you enter, it's so cozy and hip. There's usually a bit of a line outside, so you can't really miss it. The drinks may seems a bit pricey, but they are strong. Certain drinks will make you buzzed with just one. The glassware is adorable, and they sell some of them too. And what you hear about Christmas? It's true. The Christmas decor is the best in the city. Don't miss it. During covid closure, they had their takeout window open for a bit. I had fun stopping on my bike and bringing drinks home. The bartenders are nice, too. See, there's really no way to go wrong here!

Let's get something straight... If you go there and not sure what to order, order the cake. If you know what to order, then order the cake. If you are going there to celebrate, then order the cake, of you are going there for no reason, then order the cake. If you like cake, order the cake, if you hate cake, then order the cake. If you are happy then order the cake, if you are mad, then order the cake, if you are sad, then order the cake, of you are there by yourself, then order the cake, if you are there is a group, then order the cake. You get it, right? I had the cake. Then God showed up and told me the meaning of life. She (God) also said not tell others and that they have to order the cake to hear it for themselves.

I've been there once. In a thawing Chicago month pre-CIVID. So lovely in the daytime. Rare for a tiki bar, but this isn't a tiki bar. Just a nice little space with good and expensive mixed drinks. It was cute. Under the unfortunate trend of polycultural denial, where precepts of simple escapism have been overshadowed by insular hyper-critical self analysis, I shant go back. I'm afraid of you now.

Nothing like it used to be. Not a tiki bar anymore. They just never should have reopened if this is how it's going to be now.
