Placed a big order at the last minute for lunch in the office 7 pizzas deep and thin and 2 family sized salads. We got there and there were running about 10 minutes behind the apologized and even comped a 3rd salad. Very pleasant and accommodating. we went and picked up sodas. The order was ready when we arrived, they carried it out and refused a tip. Lou's understands customer service which is why we are repeat customers!!!
Fallon was so great! 10/10
First time Chicago pizza and it was as advertised! Great pizza and salad. Went just before closing on a Tuesday so atmosphere was dead but I can see it hopping in a normal night and time.
I grew up loving Lou’s. Moved to LP and this location has failed me the 3-4 times I’ve gotten take out.
Crust is never crispy.
Not the Lou’s i know. Won’t be back
This was the second pizza place we visited because our first pick pizza place had a 40 minute wait time with a very long line out the door of people waiting to be seated.
This place didn't have any waiting and I guess that should have made us question this choice but, it supposedly had great reviews? At least so I was told by someone in our party.
Although the place wasn't very busy, about 4 or 5 occupied small tables, including ours, mostly seating one or 2 diners each our table being the exception seating the 5 of us. The menu stated it would be a 30 minute wait for a pizza and it took that and longer.
Our server was very attentive refilling our water glasses at least a couple of times as we waited for the one small thin crust pizza one person in our party ordered along with the large Chicago pepperoni and sausage deep dish pizza everyone else ordered. We wanted to taste the hype.
Once the pizzas arrived, our server cut and served us the slices of the large Chicago deep dish pizza. That was a very nice touch. The pizza did look good. Looks can be deceiving. The ingredients were fresh tasting and the pizza had the perfect amount of sauce and the crust had the right amount of crispy on the edges of each slice however, dough without salt is just NOT good. The pizza dough had no salt so that left it tasting super bland. Did someone forget to use salt or was this what this particular restaurant's idea of a good pizza is? We'll never know since we were tourists visiting Chicago for the first time. If this is what deep dish pizza is supposed to be like then, no thanks. Yes, I would never eat another deep dish Chicago pizza in Chicago just for the lack of salt in the crust despite the toppings being very good. Salt is extremely important in dough. Bread without salt is tasteless and this was what the experience of eating this pizza was like. The better pizza was the thin crust pizza. It was also fresh tasting and because the crust was so thin, the toppings did a better job of masking the lack of salt.
Would I be rushing back to this place? If I'm ever in Chicago again, this place would be a pass. Nice server though.
First Chicago Style pizza I’ve had since moving here. Absolutely Amazing!
Ordered a deep dish small pep pizza. Maybe because I ordered a small but it seemed overtaken by tomatos. I would take off all the stewed tomato sauce and occasionally found a pepperoni. I dont know what happened. Perhaps the new owners are cuttin$ back on the meat? For a small deep dish pep at $20.95 I thought I would get more than bread and stewed tomato sauce.
I was about to walk in as I saw a large group walk out. They expressed their disgust with the service. They shared how they told them it would be a 30 minute wait and how the host went to talk to the server who would be taking care of their table and the server was just making faces disgusted to have to serve a group of black youth and their Latino mentor. My family and I will not be coming back here anymore. Also why 30 minutes when the restaurant was empty? Shame on you. As a former person in hospitality you don’t get to PICK you customers. If you wanna be picky go get a job in a fine dining. Atrocious behavior to have in 2024 in a world already fueled by so much hate. Spread love ❣️

Warm, welcoming environment and delicious deep dish pizza! I went to meet up with a friend here who’s from Chicago and she suggested that I try Lou Malnati’s for an authentic Chicago pizza and I’m glad that I did. From what I have been told there are several Lou Malnati’s in Chicago and they are exclusive only to Chicago. After trying my first bite a burst of heavenly flavors started dancing in my mouth that I’ve never experienced in a pizza anywhere… I knew I would soon develop a long term relationship with Lou Malnati’s each time I were to come back to Chicago.. and until I’m back I’ll continue to yearn for Lou Malnati’s cause I have seriously never finished the crust on any pizza I’ve eaten until I had Lou’s pizza, and it’s like my friend have said… it is seriously the best part.

Deep dish pizza and Lou Malnati’s go hand and hand. Haven’t had Lou’s since moving here so it was finally time. We ordered “The Malnati” as a small which was plenty for the two of us. The crust was just the right texture and the butter gave a little more sweetness. The sausage was good but mostly dispersed in the center. The sauce wasn’t overpowering, but the extra cheese was a little too much for me. Overall, a very solid pie and great service!
