Lou Malnati’s delivers exactly what Chicago deep-dish is supposed to be. Thick, buttery crust, rich sauce that actually tastes like tomatoes instead of sugar paste, and toppings that don’t feel rationed. This is the real deal, not some tourist-trap interpretation pretending to be pizza while committing crimes against cheese.
Service was solid too. Attentive, friendly, and efficient without hovering like they’re afraid you’ll steal a fork. Food came out hot, fresh, and clearly made by people who know what they’re doing and care at least a little about their reputation.
With over 60 locations, they’ve clearly figured out how to scale without completely selling their soul, which is rare in the pizza world. If you want authentic Chicago deep dish done right, this place earns its name and then some. Not trendy, not flashy, just consistently good pizza.

First time eating their thin crust pizza. Ordered a cheese and a veggies... Both pizzas were not good, no flavor. My granddaughter said it tastes like water.

I ordered two pictures of soda, I was told it was free refills. (Refilled once), it still came to $36 just for the soda.
