Bonboiak Artisan Chocolatier

I visited here yesterday for the first time and I absolutely loved it! First off, it has such a quaint vibe that is welcoming and calming. Then, the lady at the counter greeted me warmly and explained a bit about their options. I ended up going with a box of five truffles: traditional, cookies and cream, coconut, coffee, and strawberry. At first, I was a bit concerned about the price, but when I took that first bite, I realized it was worth it. Each of the truffles I tried were so delicious, genuinely the best chocolate I've had in so long. My favorite was the cookies and cream, as it had a perfect balance of the cookie crumbles with the chocolate inside. I also really enjoyed the coconut, which is saying a lot as I don't usually like coconut, but this truffle had the perfect amount of coconut where it was not overwhelming but complemented the chocolate. The worker also gave us a free sample of their fudge gelato which tasted great as well! She also mentioned that they add a little something special in the boxes if it's a gift for someone, so this would be a great gift for any chocolate lovers you know. Definitely worth the price and 5/5 stars all around, will be going back very soon!

Really good place. Came with me and the kiddos, they loved it. This is a summer gem! Portage park truly needs a beautiful place like this.

Excellent truffles and coffee—and the owner is just as sweet as the chocolates she sells! Had the passion fruit truffle and the peanut butter truffle: both were delicious. A great addition to the neighborhood.

Simply, the best!

Having a cup of coffee, a Passion Fruit BonBon, and a Nut Mix Truffle. The second photo is a Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream Ganache Truffle. I can't tell you how happy I am that I stopped here today. I recommend trying everything, but I'm a sucker for Passion Fruit. It was amazing. This place has only been open for two months, but they whip up confections like pros. And they are pros. The owner is a Master Chocolatier, and her passion for chocolate shows in her work. They don't accept cash, so make sure you bring a debit/credit card that works so you're not disappointed. Bonboiak Artisan Chocolate. 4032 N Milwaukee Avenue. As natural as chocolate can get. No additives, preservatives, butter, or eggs. Just geniune chocolate and filings that are so delicious they may make you cry. Run, don't walk here! And don't wait!

Wow! I am kicking myself for eating everything before taking a photo!

I couldn't be more thrilled to have this chocolatier in the neighborhood. Veronica was so warm and kind and chatted about all the offerings with us. Every single chocolate we got was amazingly made, beautiful, and delicious.

For this level of chocolate making, prices are very nice, and I'm glad to see they want to include other seasonal offerings like Icecream to the store over time. Will be back soon!

It would be helpful if the Business Hours they posted on their Instagram page (2-10pm) were correct. I went there tonight at 8pm, only to find them closed. And today was the hottest day of the year! Took my business to Ciao Ciao Gelato instead.

They have a very cute shop, I really like the atmosphere of their lobby. They have variation of flavors that looks very appetizing. I would definitely come back and try other flavors.
