Our best vegan experience in Chicago, and the least pretentious. We all ordered different bowls, each one delicious. Mine was filled with chunks of sweet potatoes, garbanzos, and avocado with lots of greens and rice. Low-key friendly service in a quiet cafe.
If you're not a fan of fake meats and like fresh veggies, you too will enjoy Loving Heart.

I finally got the chance to go to Loving Heart Cafe and my expectations were exceeded.
I arrived right when they were closing (Oops! Don't rely on Google close times like I did.) But the owner said no problem and took my order. I had the Buddha Bowl (to go). It was very tasty and the perfect portion size.
I'm looking forward to future trips to Loving Heart.

I went there today (Monday) at 11:30 and nobody there. Update the opening times, it makes me mad when I'm standing- hungry, not to say starving- in front of a closed cafe and came a long way especially for eating there. Very bad!

I arrived at 3:15pm on a Wednesday and the shop was closed/door was locked. Their hours say they are open until 8, it's possible their hours are wrong online. Their online ordering is still active as well, but no way to pick up the order.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad taste left from my experience with this establishment. After placing an online order for pick up, I arrived to find the storefront closed. I thought maybe there was some mistake so I called in. The owner answered and stated he had left to deliver food to someone. While I understand certain circumstances, I’ve never seen someone leave their business to deliver while still receiving orders in the meantime. This wasn’t communicated to me when I ordered and I wasn’t able to wait around for him to return to receive the order. He mentioned that he would refund me, but that also never happened. Overall, I’m sure the intention wasn’t for the situation to play out this way, yet the impression it left speaks for itself.

I was reminded today that it has been too long since my last visit here. I really appreciated the attention to detail in my meal. I got the Buddha Bowl with portobello. It tasted as good as it looked and it seemed to be a very nutritious meal. Kind staff too!
