Man, if you're in the Loop and craving a legit Italian beef, Luke's on Jackson Blvd is where it's at. I swung by during lunch and grabbed their Italian Beef Sandwich for about $9.75 . I added sweet peppers for that extra kick, and it hit the spot. Service was quick, and for under $15, I left stuffed and satisfied. If you're downtown and need a solid beef fix, Luke's won't disappoint.

They were very kind, but I ordered a pepperoni carzon and it came to me cold. I had to ask them to heat it up in the microwave, and when I got to the table, the food came out still cold. I took it home to heat it up properly.

Disappointing meal. We should have know better when we walked into a nearly completely empty restaurant! Classic Italian beef sandwich and a combo sandwich were sub par. The fries were decent and the best part of the whole experience

Got right off a flight at O'Hare, took the Blue Line to Monroe, went straight to Luke's. Got a beef sandwich with hot peppers and mozzarella and fries. It was very delicious! The soda fountain wasn't giving out root beer, but it was right before closing so no complaints on the Fanta I had instead.

Stopped in while on a layover. This was my first time in Chicago and my first Italian beef. I thought it was really good. Got it with mozzarella and hot peppers.
Staff was nice and service was surpsingly quick, especially for the quality of the food. I look forward to returning in the future.
Plenty of tables and seating. Has the atmosphere of a classic Itallian spot with the red and white checkers.
Kid-friendliness: I can see kids liking the food and parents enjoying the seating.

I have to give it one star to counteract the five stars that are extremely ignorant of what good food is, this place does not live up to the hype... maybe back in the day when they first opened it was good but it was some of the worst pizza and Italian beef I have ever had in my life the hot dog was okay nothing special.
