2.5 rounded to a three. Unsure if the bowls are meant to be eaten cold, however, the rice arrived cold enough to be crunchy- yikes. It felt it had been sitting cold at their location before being sent for delivery. For the price, I wish the portions were bigger. The chicken would have only filled one corn taco. Finally, there are tiny hints that the food is made in bulk at times in the day that are far from delivery time. Might need to calibrate prep w expected orders.Best of luck w the food thing!

I really enjoyed my Hawaiian chicken bowl. A nice healthier option with a lot of flavor!

Ordered BOGO teriyaki bowl through Uber eats. Literally took three bites (which I forced myself to do to see if it would eventually taste better...spoiler alert: it did not), and had to throw out both bowls because both the smell and taste were making me sick. I also order a side of impossible meat pot stickers, same thing. The texture was very mushy/doughy and seemed like it was undercooked. I rarely go out of my way to write a negative review, but this was easily the worst food I've had in years. Maybe it's better in person, but personally I would not order again if I'm being honest.

This food is trash and didn't even remotely resemble pictures. Ordered the potstickers and a meatball bowl. They severely undercooked the impossible meat for both. The meatballs were pink on the inside and a pale gray on the outside. Took one bite of the pot stickers and knew it wasn't right and spit it out. Tried the sweet potato salad and it was so gross. Had a terrible experience with sister location moon bowls ate the food and was extremely sick afterwards. Which I wasn't aware of until coming to leave this review. Because had I known I would have NEVER ordered from here

I recently discovered this place through Uber eats and absolutely love them. Their Hawaiian hot chicken bowls are packed with amazing complimentary flavors and my grandma stole the rest of my sweet potato salad lol. I’ve been ordering two and bringing the other to work the next day and my coworkers have been wondering what smells so good! Truly love this place and was surprised to see some of their reviews. Give them a chance I think the flavors of your bowl really depend on your order (which you can customize). Highly recommendDietary restrictions: I appreciate the vegan options and bowl options without cheese since I am lactose!

Lulu bowls is also Moon Bowls...I really dislike ghost kitchens. It allows owners to falsely reinvent their restaurants with an unsuspecting audience. Neither moon bowls or lulu bowls are anything special. Boring bowls.

Placed an Uber Eats order. This place took an hour to prepare it. Food arrived cold. Extremely small portions.

Overall, the main -- Hawaiian hot chicken -- was distinctly mediocre, but not terrible. The veggies were solidly on the good end of the spectrum. I wouldn't say no if a group wanted to get a quick lunch here, but I wouldn't recommend it as a first option. Next time, I'd try one of the vegetarian dishes. I ordered the Hawaiian hot chicken with a citrus-marinated kale base and extra red pepper flakes. Unfortunately, it seems as if the dish was created by someone who routinely complains about the spiciness of their mayonnaise, because the hot chicken sauce tasted like slightly citrusy sugar water with no detectable heat. Additionally, the chicken itself appeared to have been cooked hours ago and microwaved -- chewy, dense and with unappetizing bits of congealed fat everywhere. On a positive note, the sweet potato side was tasty and had a nice, firm texture without being undercooked, and the citrus-marinated kale was pleasantly seasoned -- not too sour, not too sweet -- with none of the bitterness you might expect from the veggie. Additionally, the balance of other veggies in the dish was on the money. If the quality of the main improves, I'd easily recommend the spot, but as it stands, there are too many competing options that execute just a bit better.

Not a huge fan, expected more from a flavor perspective and was just very underwhelmed. The kale was probably the best part but it felt like it had a pound of salt on it.

I regretted it that i didnt first read reviews and then ordered the food. I ordered the food via uber, it arrived cold. The first impression was woow nicely packaged but the taste is not good. I ordered teriyaki chicken and I felt that the chicken was not fresh, the smell was not good. The sauce was only on the bottom and very little. Not happy at all.

A coworker of mine ordered from lulubowls and spoke highly of it. It instantly became a bookmark for me and an option after I noted its Hawaiian, and vegan-friendly menu. In spite of its low rating via Yelp, I ordered with the mindset of this quote shared by Halle Berry - "What's the worst that can happen? If it doesn't do well I can put on my big girl panties, deal with it and move on.".I ended up ordering their Lulu's Loco Moco via Yelp! Little did I know that lulubowls would be located inside of a food center (The Rockwell Food Center). There has been an uprise in food centers throughout Chicago, which are designed solely for food pick-up rather than that restaurant dine-in experience. They also bring a diverse selection of foods to choose from, as well as opportunities for food entrepreneurs to get their name out, like lulubowls. My food awaited me upon my arrival to the food center where it was given to me after a verification of the restaurant, and my name. I cannot complain about the taste of the Loco Moco, as well as its appearance. After taking my first bite, I said to myself, "Okay!" I enjoyed it indeed, then commenced to savoring each bite until the last. After finishing it, I had the biggest smirk on my face and said to myself, "Okay, that was good!", * chef's kiss *. As a whole, my ordering experience with lulubowls was pleasant. And as indicated in this review, I enjoyed my meal and would surely order from again in the future.~Blessings~Thomas G

Tried the peanut butter teriyaki bowl and the hawaiian hot chicken. Both were really good and felt like a good really healthy option. Will order again

I won’t like. I ordered delivery , then read the reviews and became very sceptic , canceling the order went thru my mind, then surprise. I ordered Teryaki chicken and it was great , fresh, tasty, nice , I was truly impressed. The only minus is VERY SMALL Portions as for $15. I’m glad I ordered buy 1get one free. Other then that I would recommend to a friend. Good job!

Ordered the bogo Hawaiian Hot chicken with potato salad which I enjoyed flavor wise.Unfortunately it did taste mixed with new batches of food that wasn’t cooked all the way as my brown rice had extreme crunchy bits and the same goes for the sweet potato salad. I’m hoping next time it’ll be better as I still enjoyed the food for the price.
