Lulu’s Hot Dogs is a hidden gem in University Village. I swung by for lunch and grabbed the 2 Hot Dog Special with fries and a drink. The dogs were loaded with all the classic Chicago toppings—mustard, relish, onions, pickles, tomatoes, sport peppers, and a sprinkle of celery salt. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Stopped in at Lulu’s Hot Dogs for lunch while walking UIC campus. Went with the 2‑Dog Special w/ fries & trimmings, added a chili‑cheese dog, and the rib deal w/ garlic bread. Staff was crackin’ jokes, fast service, no‑frills old‑school Chicago energy. Dogs had a good snap, ribs were saucy without being overdone, and everything was bang for your buck.

Hit up Lulu's Hot Dogs over by UIC for a quick bite. Grabbed the 2 hot dog special with fries for about $11. Dogs were legit—snappy Vienna beef, loaded with all the classic toppings. Fries were solid, though not mind-blowing. Place has that old-school vibe, which I dig. Service was fast and friendly. Only knock is the limited seating, but it's perfect for a grab-and-go meal.
