Came in for a girls night out and had a great time. Awesome food and drinks and the staff is so attentive and friendly.
Always fantastic service, food and ESP drinks! Creative craft cocktail menus seasonally, but they do the classics the best in town as well - espresso martinis can’t be beat anywhere in Chicago. Also… don’t overlook brunch on the weekends - no need to wait in line next door in the cold or rain - do LuxBar instead and you’ll be so glad you did. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was great, portions were large, the butcher cut bacon is basically a steak. Surprised the prices were so reasonable. The truffle fries had fresh garlic 😋.
I spilled my ketchup on the ground and some of it got onto my shirt, literally within a minute James was by my side with his card saying they would handle cleaning my shirt if I needed it….a few seconds more the mess was cleaned up. Alex was very nice and super quick/attentive. Definitely going to come back.
I’ve been coming here for years and the Hospitality, and food never disappoint. The entire staff was able to accommodate me last minute with a happy hour of 15 people. What an amazing night. Thank you to the Management and staff.
LUXBAR - The GOAT of downtown restaurant/bars when you just want to go somewhere you know you will receive great service, great drinks and delicious eats. It has been my wife and I’s favorite spot over the last 10 years or so. I highly recommend the old fashioned, French onion soup and filet sliders. You can tell the staff takes tremendous pride in their craft and it shows. There is a reason this place is just as busy on a Monday afternoon as it is on a Saturday night. Highly recommend, Five stars, not one complaint, you get the drift! Don’t keep searching for a spot. You found it.
Always feels like Home.
This place has a great vibe and is hopping! Great place to sit outside and sip some cocktails and watch the hustle and bustle of that great neighborhood. The food and service were great.
One of the best spots for a cocktail in the Gold Coast. Killer spirits selection and incredibly knowledgeable staff. Great lunch options as well!
The French onion soup is probably in my top 5 I've ever had. And that's a lot (I'm fat ok, I like food). I have to try that soup everywhere. And here was no exception. The broth was bang on. Most places it's thin or missing something this was perfectly textures, thick but not too thick, and flavored to perfection. My only complaint was there wasn't a bigger portion I would just eat this as a main if so!
The double cheeseburger was also great. Cooked a nice medium rare, super tasty. A bit greasy but that's due to the prime cuts used in their grind so make sure you have a napkin!
I would say though skip the fries if you don't like fresh cut thin fries. I'm not a fan of the style because I don't think they stay good very long but that's just me. And honestly after the soup I didn't need the fries with the burger. It was too much.
Will be back and won't hesitate for both the soup and burger again

Nice venue w/ table near fireplace. A little noisy but to be expected Friday late afternoon. AMAZING “Mac Gratin”; wish the french onion soup was close. Chicken tenders & sauce quite respectable d/t non greasy prep. Lots to enjoy tomorrow !

I’ve been here a few time and the service is always awesome and the food is generally good quality. The stand out is the chili! The crab cake was all breadcrumb and not great.

Each dish was carefully prepared and executed to perfection. We love this spot and the reviews tell its own story. This is one of our staples when we visit. You won’t be disappointed. The little wagyu pigs in a blanket and the pita and hummus are wonderful starters. Taste the whole menu, because anything on it is amazing!
