This was a good neighborhood spot for a hot meal. The service and food were great. We had the fish sandwich and a patty melt. The food was freshly prepared and the portions were generous. The food prices were very reasonable for what we were served. We dined in. There was plenty of street parking. There were no public restrooms though.

A small hidden gem that you will ride right past.

Really good fresh food that always comes out hot.

They have it posted: 20 - 25 min wait. It's worth it.

Breakfast, and dinners are on point with plenty of good food.

Ma Dear’s Kitchen is a warm and welcoming spot that serves up soulful, home-cooked flavors just like grandma used to make. The menu is full of Southern comfort classics, crispy fried chicken, savory collard greens, buttery cornbread, and flavorful sides that remind you of family gatherings. Portions are generous, and everything is cooked with love and attention to detail. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a down-home charm that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The staff are friendly and treat guests like family, adding to the overall comforting experience.

My visit here was okay overall. The food wasn’t bad, but it also didn’t impress me. Service was decent, though nothing stood out. A fine place for a casual stop.

I tried the catfish and cornbread from Ma Dear’s Kitchen and wow, it really hit the spot. The catfish was golden and flavorful without being greasy, and the cornbread had that soft, buttery taste that reminded me of family dinners. You can tell the food is made with love.
