The food was amazing! We’re from Austin Tx we been to quiet a few places to eat but nothing compares th their food here OMG! And that cake OMG! It takes a lot for me to be excited about food. We tried a little bit of everything, pork chops, fried catfish, chicken wings, dressing, spicy cabbage, potato salad, mash potatoes, black eye peas, banana pudding, red velvet cake, fries etc....you get what I am saying. The food was delicious, the people were nice and friendly as well. The kitchen was clean. It was nice atmosphere. I meant to take pictures but when the food came out we just started eating 😁.
When they run out of an item they are out for the day. We will be back I must get to try a couple of more items we missed. Good food and good people. Definitely like grandma cooking! My family and I just met up to have lunch here.

Great food that reminded me of family favs...it's like pulling up a chair in your grandmother's kitchen. We were comparing dishes to which family members they tasted like lol Everything was excellent! The two women greeting, cooking, and serving were awesome 😊 We would all happily go back and were laughing talking and joking about it with other new & regular customers. Highly recommend it you like soul food that tastes, smells and feels like home🥰

Visited this establishment for the first time on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. It was the best little hole in the wall place that I've ever been to. EVERYTHING on my plate was dee-lish-us! And I do mean, EVERYTHING. I am beyond picky, and do not waste time on food that doesn't taste good because life is too short 🙃, so you can believe every word of this review...your visit here will be time well spent. You'll likely have to wait for a little bit, but call ahead if that's a problem for you. As for me...it was worth the wait. ~ Blessings

It felt like and taste like I was in my grandmother's kitchen. Absolutely wonderful.. The ladies were nice. I just happened to be in the area and googled a place .. It was the name initially for me ...MaDear......it was my first and I'm definitely going back to try more dishes. From the outside you kind of look like where are we and when you walk in it's so pleasant and quaint. Glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem.
