I worked 10 hours anticipating to get what I ordered just to get home after their business hours and the plate was not correct. Then the manager wants to go back and forth about what they charged me vs what was written on the box when clearly you see two 50 cent charges on the receipt for greens I never got and $2.75 for a extra side of Mac that they took out a Kraft box and threw cheese on top of. Straight disgusting and disappointing. Never again. Let’s get this place shut down since they don’t appreciate the black dollar!

(Same review left on yelp) Drove all the way from Bloomington, Indiana to visit a friend and we were so excited to try this restaurant because we remembered it being so good. However, this food was terrible. We were told we were served fried catfish and I don’t believe that’s what we got. Outside of that you can tell the fish had been sitting, it wasn’t hot. The macaroni was also bland as well. I went and asked the waiter what fish we had been served and she said it was catfish. I’m not sure what was going on but $20 was wasted and this food went in the trash.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The service is utterly terrible! I was a frequent visitor of this restaurant and recently visited last week... it's almost like they deliberately hire employees with the worst attitudes. No one smiles, no nice greetings, etc... and the cashier is absolutely the most rudest of them all. Always rude and nasty every time I visit. Nevertheless, I still raved about this Westside staple (for their good food and decent prices) as I visited with an out of town guest- but I was completely embarrassed. The service was so bad that they refused to eat their food. We ended up discarding the food and going to another restaurant.

Omg I’ve been coming to this place for yearsss but man I can’t anymore. Starting off with the food, it is amazing but the workers are a headache. This restaurant is the closest thing you can get to a normal home cooked meal and is great for times you feel lazy but still want something of substance. They’re very affordable and reasonable and the proportions are nice. The parking lot is tiny but it’s only amplified on Sundays. But the real issue is them nasty, funky, ugly attituded workers (except for Glo she’s lovely 🤭💕 and the owner is a gentleman) other than that the staff has nasty, bitter dmv kind of attitudes. They tower over the counter like huge bouncers at a club and speak to you as if you’re a bother. I also notice they inconsistently ask for id to match the card you purchase with. You’ll stand in line and watch the person in front of you purchase without being asked for any form of identification then you’ll get to the counter and they’ll ask you. Moral of the story although the restaurant in itself is good like most businesses the staff is who runs away the customers. Also I know this is petty but I hate how hard they work the women but the male staff never appears to be doing anything but that’s just me worrying about things that have nothing to do with me 🤭.

Ordered at 3:21 and received food at 4:07. Multiple people checked out before me although the food was ready. Very disappointed in this establishment and experience today. I’ve come here numerous times on my lunch break and will no longer be back after today. How do you give food I ordered to someone else AFTER I ordered the items first ? Now I’m steady waiting on different sides because nothing is ready now . No apology or anything. Black ppl please do better. You lose the customers due to poor customer service. Steady ringing ppl out before me and I’ve been there 40 minutes already being patient for food you’ve given away. WOW. Just wow.

Had Salisbury steak and yams and Mac and cheese. Food not even hot. Salisbury steak was too salty and the patty had been overcooked. My Mac and cheese just wasn’t right.
