Some friends and I came out for a night of just vibing. The burger was very good! 8.9/10 . The drinks were good too. Not very strong but made well. My friends enjoyed their drinks and food as well. The ambiance was chill and relaxing. The waiter Elijah was attentive and friendly. Overall we enjoyed it and would recommend.

I frequented the machine pretty often before the revamp and I recommend it to everyone, I’m not sure I can do the same with the new machine. I want to say first and foremost, the drinks are still fantastic! However, the vibe was much different this time around. Security at the door checking ids, cheapens the experience. I doubt many 19 year olds are sneaking in here for $20 fancy cocktails lol. The seating was very low and uncomfortable and it didn’t feel as aesthetically pleasing as the first location. The music was too loud (and not great) which made conversation difficult. The service was also not great. My food was messed up twice and in the midst of them fixing that issue, the other guests at the table were neglected a bit. It was corrected eventually and the manager accommodated us which I appreciated. There was also a very awkward moment where a host brought a stranger to our table and none of us knew why. So unfortunately all of these small hiccups put a big damper on our outing and overall made us nostalgic for the version of the machine that we fell in love with 5 years ago.

What an amazing experience at Machine. The name suits the business because they are a well oiled machine. Brian provided us with a thorough explanation of the drinks we were interested in, and the presentation was very unique. My fiancée had the best espresso martini we have ever ordered, and I had the duck duck goose; an extremely original drink using whiskey and duck fat. The elements of all the drinks were on point and we will be back! Until then, we will recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you Machine!

Brian was an EXCELLENT server at an excellent spot! The staff was so kind and attentive. The espresso martini was the best i’ve EVER had, so well balanced and crisp! will definitely be back to this spot any time I’m in Chicago!

The bouquet making services by the dining table is amazing!
Swanky underground cocktail bar with a very unique set of craft cocktails and a small food menu. Perfect spot for a drink before or after dinner.
This was such a cool spot, they have decorated it amazingly and you do not feel like you are in a basement bar. I had the Kevin Bacon which comes on a little pig which was great, espresso martini was so smooth but my favorite drink was the Fowl Woodsman, it's mix of mezcal and bourbon and is a combo of a Oaxacan and a normal old fashioned.
We also did the burrata which was unreal, the prosciutto paired with aioli and cheese was great.
They also have a happy hour every day from 5-6:30p.
We came here for my Wifes 32nd Birthday and we had a blast! We met with Wes who is a manager here and he is a character! The bar tenders and staff were so nice and very attentive to our needs. The drinks were fun and playful and deserving of a 5 star! Its a swanky place with great music and even greater vibes! Be sure to try and find the 5 ducks hidden around the place while you enjoy a cocktail. Everyone made Kellys birthday so great so thank you Machine Bar for such a fun night! We did not get a chance to try the food but next time!

Went with a few friends—awesome spot. The space is stylish without trying too hard. I ordered the Hanging Garden and it was easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had in Chicago. Amazing and really refreshing, not to mention cool to look at!
