i’m writing this review as i’m still sitting in the booth because it was just THAT good.
i ordered the french onion burger with the regular fries on the side, and let me tell you i haven’t had a burger check every box like this one. the garlic aioli was the perfect amount of flavor to complement the caramelized onions. the bun was seemingly buttered and fluffy. and the fries!! they had a flakey salt with not one fry left unsalted. they were also thin and crispy to perfection.
the service was great and every staff member was always smiling. i never write reviews but this one felt very necessary. 5 stars from me!

Solid food, great service, and a bar staff that will make you feel at home. We had the Bosco sticks, Gouda Smash Griddle Burger, and Fried Chicken Sandwich. Everything was delicious! I'm def getting the Bosco sticks again.

I was in Chicago for one night to help move my son to Dallas. He lived a modest walk from Mac's, so we headed there for dinner. I ordered a burger (the name escapes me) that had a beef patty, bacon, pickles, lettuce and tomato, a grilled jalapeño and a habanero sauce. The waiter told me it was really hot. I replied with confidence that I was from San Antonio and was used to spicy food. So he asked how I would like the meat cooked and left to place our order. The burger was great, BUT it was also VERY hot. Wow! I was in fire! So be careful what you ask for, because at Mac's you'll get it! My son had a regular, less adventurous burger.
We enjoyed a cool evening outside with our food and a couple of brews. The wait staff was excellent.

Mac’s is at least a weekly occurrence for me. The food is wonderful (bosco sticks especially), the drinks are well priced, nice patio that allows dogs. Go to Mac’s!!!!!

Sunday night football, great atmosphere, lots of TVs, menu items & service was on point w/both tending to us ...even w/o getting alcohol drinks. Great place if you need a few hours to chill while your passengers are at the UC. Just 10 minutes away.
Vegetarian options: Vegan ize any salad & sub'd avocado at no addtl cost 👍 Plenty of caramelized pecans
