Can get a bit packed on a weekend night as it's one of a handful of viable Indian options downtown. We were quoted about 15-20 minutes wait time but they didn't let us stand in the vestibule outside and corralled us into a corner of the front to wait.Chicken vindaloo was good - not as spiced as I would have liked (I ordered it hot) but good flavor nonetheless. Service charge is applied automatically for groups of 6 or more, but the bill then includes additional tip suggestions from 15-20% which could trip up a less scrupulous person

I’ve been lucky to eat at Maharaj Chicago.From the moment you walk in Seloyd the Restaurant Manager greeted you which warmed my heart immediately! Taken to our seats and offers us lunch menu. And introduced to server Monicathen the food !!! Absolutely amazing.we shared chef special. Great service.Definitely be going back to this wonderful place.Great for couples .Thank you Maharaj Chicago for a wonderful hospitality

This was one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. The food was incredible, the staff were extremely friendly. The restaurant was packed and we first were told it was a 25 minute wait. We didn’t want to wait after leaving the manager rearranged the tables and called us back. We’re so glad he did! Were definitely coming again.Maidi was a great waitress!!!!
