I had a highly disappointing experience at this establishment. The service was far below expectations, as the waitress was unexpectedly rude when my boyfriend asked a simple question. We live nearby, but unfortunately, after this second poor encounter with the service, we will not be returning. It's especially frustrating because the restaurant has potential, but this issue seems to be recurring, and several of my friends have experienced similar problems.

I have never submitted a review until now…Went to the bar after a wedding at St Michael to watch football and have a few before the reception. Had a very disappointing experience with the attitude and quality of service from the manager/person in charge (seemed very inconvenienced when asked for standard items of basic service at a bar/restaurant. Menus, questions about beer options and of course changing channels on the tv’s during a college football Saturday afternoon was a huge ordeal. The other wait staff was very good and friendly - their boss is clearly not cut out for the hospitality business at least when we were there. We’ll definitely go to Twin Anchors next time.

At Margie’s Still in Chicago, I had an incredible Chicken Parmesan that hit all the right notes. The chicken was perfectly breaded—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside—and served on a bed of al dente pasta that soaked up every bit of the rich, tangy marinara sauce. The melted mozzarella on top was gooey and golden, adding the perfect touch to the dish. As a bonus, I managed to swipe a few mussels from my daughter's order, and they were equally fabulous—fresh, tender, and bursting with flavor. Overall, a truly satisfying and memorable meal!

If you go to Chicago, you absolutely have to visit Old Chicago, and by the way, I loved having breakfast at this place.

I lived across the street many years ago when Marge was still alive. I'm glad to see it's still going strong. I remember seeing an older lady passed out at the bar and asking who is that? An old guy piped up and said , with a smile, "that's my wife". I still laugh about it.

Service was very lacking. Our waitress forgot about us and it took a very, very long time to order, she also had no idea how to explain their special. When we did get our food, it was extremely disappointing. The Pork Chop special was far from it. The pork chop was hardly seasoned, the “apple chutney” was just warmed up applesauce, and the mashed potatoes were literally just that; mashed, unseasoned potatoes.
Easily the worst meal we’ve had for $99. Unfortunately would not go back or recommend.

Great neighborhood place. Would recommend for a quiet weekday dinner. The burgers are bomb and the fries are even better! It is a little pricey, but fair for the neighborhood. Drinks are good. It is a tad understaffed, but during a calm evening, the wait isn't too much.

Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian mains and sides.

Dietary restrictions: There are gluten free options available.
