At Margie’s Still in Chicago, I had an incredible Chicken Parmesan that hit all the right notes. The chicken was perfectly breaded—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside—and served on a bed of al dente pasta that soaked up every bit of the rich, tangy marinara sauce. The melted mozzarella on top was gooey and golden, adding the perfect touch to the dish. I lived across the street many years ago when Marge was still alive. I'm glad to see it's still going strong. I remember seeing an older lady passed out at the bar and asking who is that? An old guy piped up and said , with a smile, "that's my wife". I still laugh about it.
Great neighborhood place. Would recommend for a quiet weekday dinner. The burgers are bomb and the fries are even better! It is a little pricey, but fair for the neighborhood. Drinks are good. It is a tad understaffed, but during a calm evening, the wait isn't too much.
