NOT dog friendly! We called ahead today to ask if they allowed dogs and the person on the phone said “small dogs that are well behaved are allowed”. Our dog is 20lbs and decently trained enough not to bark or lunge at anyone. We went in the evening to the Bucktown location and as soon as we walk in the lady seating people says dogs are not allowed and that we could order takeout. We had other friends joining us so we had our name written on the waitlist and waited outside to be respectful, when we went back in to order takeout, the lady snapped at us and said dogs aren’t allowed in there.

Best Ice Cream shop in the city. If you like sundaes or splits this is the spot to go. Usually a pretty big line so I like to go early.

Great historic ice cream and candy shop in Chicago. We came at a busy time and had to wait awhile for service. We had the classic Turtle sundae and it was good. I found the decor to be the most charming of all, although it sits on the border between kitschy and vintage.Kid-friendliness: There were lots of kids there

This place fills up fast! If you want table service, expect a wait to be seated or opt to take your sweet treats to go. The staff are friendly (good old fashioned service), and the ice cream is homemade. They had wayyyy more flavors than I expected them to have on hand. This place is a historic relic that needs to be preserved at all costs. I’ve been twice in one week and plan to visit frequently.

The parlor is famous for good reason. It celebrates the visitation of the Beatles when they came to eat back in 1965, so it's been operating for several decades. There was quite the line to wait in in order to sit down. The portions come with a great helping, a side of chocolate drizzle and a wafer. There are more varieties but there is very limited seating.

Love this place! Still looks the same and has the same atmosphere. Shakes were great but the chocolate carmel nut apple was delicious! Definitely a Chicago must see experience!

Sooo many options to choose from and it’s all good, no wonder it’s always packed! The wait wasn’t too bad and we got a cute table. The ice cream was classic!

This is my favorite place ever. They are so nice and they have such good ice cream. One time I accidentally broke a glass and they did get mad at me but were nice about it after. The service is always fast and I love the vibe. The fact that it is such a strong Chicago landmark.

We were seated right away and quickly ordered. There's is a very large selection of creations to chose from, but we went with the brownie a la mode. The sundae comes with whip cream, hot fudge, cherry, chopped nuts, and your choice of ice cream. We went with the vanilla and mini chocolate chip. The hot fudge was really the star of the show. It was creamy, richly, and warm. The nuts were also a nice touch and brownie was soft. Only critique was that the whip cream was not a hit.

My google review

Service has gotten a lot better, don’t know if it’s because I choose to takeout rather than dine in. But overall the ice cream is the best in the city.

This place is amazing, I visited because my family recommend it for the ice cream, and I agree with them. You have variety of flavors, and the menu have other options as banana split or milkshakes. Also you can share with others because they are huge portions. Watch out! There a los of people so you have to wait, but it worths it.
