We surprised my sister with dinner at Maria's and from the very first time that I reached out for information until the end of dinner the service was amazing, attentive . It was a great experience

It wasn't authentic Mexican food. The food was overly seasoned with pepper. The service was very poor, very inattentive, and lacking in class. It seemed like the waiters were forced to work.
It took over an hour to get are food it’s Sunday night by the way I got homework to do.

Look, it's across between a full stocked bar and a sit down restaurant like the pepe's chain-a luxury gem hidden by it's hole-in-the-wall nature.
Don't elevate it into some bespoke Fogo de Chao restaurant, but this is the closest thing you will have to *proper* Mexican cuisine that is both friendly to people with dietary restrictions or touchy stomachs.
Would give it a 6/5 for the awesome food if I could, staff are a solid 4, and atmosphere for a bar is a 5.
TLDR this is an adult family restaurant where the food's focus is the taste and ingredient quality-worth a stop.
If you have specific dietary restrictions, always ask your server, but otherwise excellent place. :)
Large portions for the price, come hungry or SHARE.

As a lover of Mexican cuisine this restaurant did not leave me disappointed! I can't judge the margarita (served in glasses / gigantic cups) because I don't drink alcohol but the coke served at the table is the Mexican one in glass and the dishes are all delicious, starting from homemade nachos with hot sauce, exceptional! We then chose a mix of starters to share with different dishes including tacos, tostadas, flautas and tamales, all delicious while as main course we asked for a mix of chicken and beef fajitas, accompanied by tortillas, guacamole, sour cream, beans, rice and soup. All delicious and extra large dishes, so much so that we could not finish, I would say that over half of the dinner we took it home in the doggy bag and we had lunch the next day. Highly recommended!
Ordered taco dinners. Tacos tasted great. Beans were average. Salsa was extremely spicy, we could not eat it. Service was slow. Waiter spilled salsa and some food from the plates on the table making a mess. Will try once again in a month or two.

Stopped by Maria’s Mexican Restaurant on Foster at dinner. Split two steak tacos and a queso fundido, washed it down with a mango margarita. The tacos were juicy, the cheese dip gooey and on point. Staff was friendly but seemed to ghost us a bit between courses—the check took forever. Killer murals, outdoor patio, chill local vibe. Worth coming back—even if service lagged a tad. ★★★★

Great Mexican food. The Rosemont food usually is more consistent than this location but the operations at this location is top notch in terms of service. It does need a deep high-cleaning and renovations at some point though. Parking is tight depending on the time but they make it work.

They have the best Mexican food in the neighborhood. I've been going there for 20+ years. A few of my favorites are the crab tostada's, crab quesadillas and the Cameron Al Mojo De Ajo; char broiled jumbo shrimp sauteed in wine, butter and garlic, served over rice. Absolutely mouth watering! I would give Maria's 10 stars! Definitely try them out, you won't be disappointed.

They brought out menus that had food on them, and our waiter wasn't friendly at ALL.
We love Maria’s, it’s our neighborhood go to spots. Great margaritas and even better food. As a carnivore, I am a big fan of the steak which is always perfectly cooked.
Very kid friendly, staff is great with our 3 year old and turnaround time is perfect for a short attention span.
Always coming back!
