The room is so bright and the windows make you feel like you're outside. The food is delicious and the staff are terrific
Always a pleasure to be greeted so warmly by Cynthia and brought my favorite spiced tea without asking! Food is attractive and has old favorites plus new seasonal items.,
Hidden on the fourth floor of Nieman Marcus. Worth seeking out. Great decor, nice menu, impeccable service and popovers!
Its a classic place, the service is good. Food slightly overpriced but my son's burger was tasty. The mandarin souflee wasn't as good as I remember but the popovers and consume are always a hit. We had a beautiful view by the windows and had great service. Our waiter Mike was great
Mariposa is one of my very favorite lunch restaurants. Sorry the chicken paillard is no longer on the menu as it was a favorite. Had the brie bacon jam panini. It was fantastic!!. My friend had the hamburger and thought it was really delicious as were the fries. Love that the tables are well spaced and the acoustics are really great in that you can speak in a normal conversational tone with your fellow diner and without hearing conversations from neighboring tables. Staff is fantastic....attentive and friendly. Also love that you never feel rushed.
The Love Salad was $27.00 and there was not many greens and what there was were terrible looking. Sounded good, hardly edible.
The staff is delightful and in particular the hostess very accommodating. Unfortunately the food today was not as good as the past. My chicken was very well done in salad..the desert was stale. The tea was wrong....
Always fabulous! We enjoyed the great lunch, fashion show, the ambiance, service, and the table located next to a window! ❤️
Nice spot for lunch or light meal. Staff is friendly food is great and reasonable. Easily wheelchair accessible.

Lunch at Mariposa - Neiman Marcus, Chicago’s Gold Coast
Looking for a chic lunch spot in Chicago’s Gold Coast? Mariposa at Neiman Marcus offers the perfect blend of sophisticated ambiance and elevated cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone shopping or exploring this iconic neighborhood. Whether you're in the mood for comforting soups, gourmet sides, or luxury cocktails, Mariposa delivers on all fronts.
I began my meal with their signature Chicken Tortilla Soup. This hearty and flavorful dish is the ultimate comfort food, with perfectly seasoned broth, tender chicken, and crispy tortilla strips adding the ideal crunch. The perfect balance of spices makes this a standout starter.
Mariposa’s warm Popover, served with decadent strawberry butter. The light and airy texture of the bread paired with the rich sweetness of the butter was simply divine—definitely a must-try.
For something savory, I indulged in their Truffle Fries, which arrived crispy, hot, and beautifully seasoned with truffle oil and Parmesan. These fries are a gourmet upgrade, offering the perfect mix of indulgence and flavor.
To top it all off, I enjoyed a Rose Aperol Spritz made with none other than Ferrari Rosé. The combination of the rosé’s light bubbles and the slightly bitter Aperol made for an elegant and refreshing cocktail—perfect for a leisurely lunch.
If you're in Chicago’s Gold Coast and looking for a stylish lunch destination with impeccable service and a menu that blends comfort and luxury, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus is the perfect choice.

My favorite lunch spot! Great food, great prices, great ambiance, and fantastic service......and fabulous acoustics.....can talk at a normal conversational level with fellow diners.
I ordered the Papardelle which is the Braised Short Rib Ragu Parmesan, Herbs for $32.00 . This was not at all worth the price and The time of me sitting in the restaurant .
The cook should be more mindful of ever handing a plate to the server with the plate being room temper with no type of steam blowing off the meal . As the server should be mindful as well. The noodles were hard and clumped up and the food tasted like a can of Ravioli from your nearest grocer .
This restaurant literally is just a name and wasn’t even worth a snap shot of my plate . Very poor representation. Nothing about this experience was worth my time .

This is usually one of our favorite places to lunch at. This time it was not a great experience, which was disappointing. Our waiter, Mike was so unengaged and made it seem like we were a bother to him. The other wait staff who delivered our popovers and consume were lovely. Thank you.
I lunch fairly frequently here with friends. It never disappoints which is why I am a repeat guest. The food is really good and the service is very friendly but not rushed at all. The tables are well spaced and the acoustics are fabulous....so rare these days in other restaurants. You can actually talk with your fellow diners in a normal conversational voice. My very favorite dish is the Chicken Paillard. All desserts are all winners as are the traditional popovers and chicken broth. Decor is lovely sophisticated and quietly elegant. Chairs very comfortable.
A very nice place to take a quiet break from wedding shopping on Mag Mile. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive. My niece and I enjoyed our food in a quiet setting that allowed us to discuss her upcoming wedding in peace.
