Great way to spend a very cold Chicago day. Amazing popovers and warm broth to start. It was quiet. The server was excellent. We all enjoyed our salads and we each got a different one. We will definitely go back.
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant right on the Magnificent Mile. The atmosphere is pure luncheon heaven. Food was delicious (Chicken Marsala, Pear Salad, Brussel Sprouts, and Grilled Cheese). Of course the traditional popovers were superb, hot and tasty. Wine list covered all the bases too. The service couldn't have been more appropriate - there when needed and relaxed. Took a long time after we ordered for the food to arrive. Once we placed our order the server evaporated. Food is served by a different person than the server. No one ever came back to us at all until I had to flag down the original server for our check. Very disappointing.
