If you like authentic local place for Mexican seafood this is the place for you. Some of the best rice I've had outside of a little Mexican woman I know that makes great Spanish rice. I love places like this where it feels like need to speak Spanish to order. You do not need to speak Spanish to order but it doesn't hurt. Great value, really good food - I recommend highly! BTW - BYOB

Pulled up to Mariscos El Malecon for dinner and the vibes were on point. Got the shrimp aguachile and a tostada de ceviche—super fresh, had a real kick to it. Music was bumpin’, felt like a lil party in there. Only knock is it took a minute to get our food, but it was worth the wait. Staff was cool and portions were solid. Will definitely slide back for the molcajete.

If you're in the mood for legit seafood in the South Side, Mariscos El Malecon is the spot. I grabbed a shrimp burrito and a couple of shrimp tacos, each taco was about $5, and the burrito was around $18. The shrimp was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped up in a warm tortilla. The vibe is chill, the staff is friendly, and they even let you BYOB. Definitely a go-to for seafood lovers.
Food was great. Service was great. We’ll definitely come back.

Bad service, I ordered a shrimp ceviche and they gave it to me without toast and I also asked for the large one and they gave me a small one and part of it had a bad taste. I won't go back
Very loud music, they close early, very bad service, the hours are from 11am to 12pm and they close at 10pm

Small and quaint just how I like it. Love to support local small businesses. The entire staff is friendly. I enjoyed the music. I love that they are BYOB. Which works out great because there’s a liquor store right next to it as well as down the street. There’s also street parking no meter. I had the shrimp/fish ceviche which was delicious! Definitely will be coming back to try their empanadas, fried fish, shrimp, y Ostiones. I hear their amazing ?
