First of all I have been here many times and now I have been disappointed twice. The first time was because they charge and extremely amount of fee for BYOB and it was just like 4 cans that I threw out myself this happen like 2 yrs ago. This time I went with my fiance and we order the la playa oysters . That come prepare with shrimp and octopus cebolla and cilantro. Well my fiance and I ate the first four of the prepare oysters because we ordered a total of 6 . The last two oysters were bad they tasted horrible!! It was just disgusting that we had to spit out the last two out . When I told my waitress she went and told another lady.The the other lady preceded to the kitchen And then she came back to tell me that there is nothing they can do about it now since we had already eaten 4 and that I should have said something since the beginning. I was very disappointed since it is the only seafood restaurant that I like. How they cook my fried tilapia . She didn't even offer a discount or an apology .I definitely did not like how she handle the situation because at other restaurants . I have gone to other restaurants and if something is not right and obviously is not our fault they offer a discount or just not charged us a full amount . I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant my fiance and I were very disgusted with those last two oysters and I didn't not like how they handle the situation when they were quick to say they couldn't do anything about it . First of all I am also a server and that is not good customer service. Second of all it is the chef's responsibility to make sure all food and specially if it's seafood to make sure it's fresh. How are we supposed to know those oysters were bad?? Since we ate all the good ones first and the nasty two were in the middle . We obviously ate the firsts one on the edge. So I did not wanted for this to be a review because it is a small business in the community but they need to do better. Everything else was great but I couldn't take that nasty flavor of my mouth from that bad oyster.

The atmosphere at La Playa is inviting, relaxed, feels awesome all the way around, and fun. Carina was amazing and awesome as always. She's very attentive and friendly. would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great marisco restaurant. The piñata rellena was amazing.

Been back several times since my initial visit and can honestly say that they Ruben finds a way to always improve and make it better! Whether its offering amazing service or showing us new menu items. My personal favorite is the fajitas with pulpo and the mejillones la playa! Highly Recommend!
