Good experience on a Saturday. Honestly, they were SLAMMED with people, which is great for them! They were out of a few things we wanted to try, and the service wasn't ideal - but we had a fun time!! Just not pretending it was perfect - but really good!! Creative, interesting menu. Fair prices. Staff were attentive and helpful - not their fault it was so busy!! Congrats, and we WILL go back!
The taco omakase is an unreal experience. The chefs are kind, the serves are attentive and the food is unbelievable! Every bite was better than the last and I left an omakase full for the first time ever! Worth every penny and then some. I don't drink ans they created some great mocktail shots so I didn't miss a single experience. It was amazing
We've been coming to this place since it opened up! We love everything about it, the ambience the service and especially all of the fresh seafood! Highly recommend this spot for a unique seafood experience!!
Taco omakase highly recommended..spectacular flavors, wide variety of protein options, homemade welcome shots, come hungry!
We were sat at a high top in back part of the restaurant, with a bar below us. You could hear music from Mariscos and the bar below, was distracting. The food was tasty, would recommend the tuna taco and tostada + muscles. The camarones a plancha was flavorful but nothing super different so I'd skip next time. Overall was good food and we left full.
Amazing food, cocktails, and service! The tuna toastada, paella, and Sonoran dog were great.
Family style mix of small plates and a main so at least a three course meal, or more if you're hungry. Tuna tostada and crab Rangoon empanadas were fantastic. Beef short rib for the main course excellent. Our server was wonderfully efficient- there when we needed her and vanished while we enjoyed our meal.
We had the taco omakase at the chefs counter. Food was fabulous. 14 courses!Wine pairing very good and generous pours. 4 chefs cooking for us with lots of personal touches while explaining the dishes. Really a fun evening with outstanding food! Will be back next season!
Food was incredible. Margaritas were on point. Service was outstanding. Left my wallet there and they were incredibly accommodating.
Delicious seafood-focused dishes served up in a fun atmosphere with excellent service! Highly recommend the whole fish with red & green sauces (a riff on the Mexico City classic from Contramar) — it's an excellent choose-your-own adventure taco experience with all the various salsas and topping they serve alongside it!

Some of the best seafood dishes in the city. Perfect for a meal before a concert or just on a regular night. Possibly the best mussels I have ever had.
The food and service were both great. We had the snapper ceviche to start. My Dad has the whole Dorade which was excellent and I had the mussels that came in a delicious, spicy broth with a fresh loaf of crusty, warm bread and crispy frittes (fries). While it was relatively expensive for a Mexican restaurant, it wasn't for what the dishes were and the quality. It was extremely convenient as well since we were seeing a concert at Thalia Hall which is attached. The service was great and answered all questions. The food came (mostly) timely. My Dad's fish came out about 10 minutes prior to my mussels. It was fine in the end though. The bussing and clearing of the tables and attentiveness were great even after the restaurant filled up.
Celebrated a birthday & were very well taken care of. Service was personable & professional. Food was great start to finish. Lots of interetsting, well crafted things to share and savor. Loved it!! Have told many people about the great experience and that they should check it out.
One of the best meals I've had in this city — can't wait to go back. The caliber of creative fusion seafood dishes and flavor combos that I've found in Mexico City — bravo Mariscos San Pedro.
Mariscos San Pedro is one of the best restaurants not just in Chicago but everywhere. We have been many times but this past summer we ate at Contramar in Mexico City and the tuna tostada and green and red adobo whole fish at Mariscos is better. The tuna tostada is simply the best dish I've ever had. We also had a lobster quesabirria which was incredible. We love this restaurant so much ❤️😋
