I got pan de muerto last week and I was so surprised, i alway get bread from this bakery but his last time I was blown away, the bread was delicious, I got different kinds of bread and everything tasted so good, plus the cashiers are always happy, I love that?

Their Conchas are simply irresistible, with their sweet, crumbly toppings and soft, fluffy bread inside. It's a delightful taste of Mexico right in your neighborhood, and I can't get enough of their delicious treats!

OMG! How can I even begin to describe my great experience at Markellos?!! I went there looking for a birthday cake for my partner, and ended-up meeting the owner, Irene. She spent a half hour with me talking about different options and letting me sample a few things before I made the final decision on which cake that I wanted. She also talked to me about design ideas, and what she would be able to do in order to make the cake look beautiful for the birthday party. Not only did it look beautiful, but the Tres Leches cake was absolutely delicious! So many compliments from all the party guests!!!!! Markellos will be our go-to for all our future cakes!

They used to be 24 hours when I lived nearby. I blame my diet sins mostly on living a few blocks away. I haven't tried a 2am churro in a while so Idk.. but this place will convince any carb free living person to skip a day. I was told that it used to be a Greek place that was taken over by Mexican-American bakers. I have no idea if that's true, but there is some variety that I enjoyed so much. Pay with cash if you can, but they do take cards. There's off street parking at this friendly place. They have bread, and also sweet bread / pastry and other desserts. My personal favorites were the guava hand pie and the churros. If they sold coffee, I would probably never be able to go anywhere else for sweets.

Always a treat to shop at Markellos! Someone always speaks English, which is helpful for my monolinguistic disability. The breads and sweets are delicioso!
