Has all the makings of a great bar but the upstairs aux is SO bad. Barely audible, and not energizing- they have a great crowd because they are new but not capitalizing to make it fun. Fine for a beer downstairs but don’t come expecting a good night out. Play bangers!!!

We experienced a couple of minor but irritating dishonesties here. We visited on a Sunday evening and asked if they were still serving food, to which they answered yes. Only after ordering our drinks were we told that it was just pizza available, which was frustrating as we specifically chose this place over others nearby because of the broader menu. Having said that, the pizza turned out to be very nice in the end - we had the Chicago Style. Then after paying and getting the receipt texted to me, I notice a 2.99% admin fee turned up out of nowhere, unlisted on the menu and also impossible to see before paying because they don't give you a paper check. Just felt unnecessarily sneaky and a bit exploitative.

Can't say enough great things about my visit here! I stopped in with some friends for the first time this past Saturday. We sat at the bar and our bartender, Bridget, was fantastic.
Even though it was super busy, Bridget made sure to greet us and take care of our orders quickly. She was super personable and deliberately made time to engage with us in between taking care of other customers. She knew the menu inside and out and made great food and drink recommendations to us, and overall ensured we had a great experience from start to finish.
This is definitely our new, go-to neighborhood spot, and we will be coming back on the regular. The staff, music, vibes, and menu impressed us beyond expectation.

One of the best atmospheres in Chicago! Best spot for a night out with a group. Great service and easy to get a drink. Food is top notch. Would recommend to anybody visiting the area!
I met my wife at butch mcguires in 1992 and have been an avid patron ever since. I went with a group of 8 for opening night and we had a fantastic time. The wings were great, the beers were flowing, and the service was excellent. I have been back twice since and will continue to be a regular patron.
