A party of 5 went to Maestro’s to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Of course I had made reservations and when we arrived our table was not ready. We opted to go to the bar while we waited for our table. We were at the bar for about 15-20 minutes before we were told our table was ready. I called ahead and mentioned I wanted custom menus in celebration of my sister’s birthday. As we were seated the server gave us standard menus. When I asked about the custom menus he did they were too busy to print them out. We proceeded to look at the menus and place our order for appetizers. The server was not very attentive and we would often have to look for him. To be fair it was Sweetest Day and it seemed pretty busy. Our appetizers arrived and we needed small plates. We asked about the plates and it took him a while to get them. We then decided to get the order in for our entrees. The food was good but definitely not for the price. My steak had no flavor other than the truffle butter I paid extra for, the lobster Mac n’ cheese was good but the vegetables we ordered were flavorless. It’s a beautiful restaurant but extremely overrated and overpriced. A manager was kind enough to print us out menus because I expressed my dissatisfaction with the servers excuse about being too busy to accommodate my request. They should have mentioned this when I called and asked about it, that due to the “holiday” they were not doing custom menus. A small request but made all the difference to my sister. They brought out a slice of cake complimentary for my sister’s birthday which was a nice touch. Overall, my sister had a great time but definitely feel there were other places we could have gone with better service and more flavorful food for the $800 we spent.

The service was exceptional, and the food was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. I also discovered what I can only describe as the perfect dessert — the butter cake truly lives up to the hype! A must-try.

First time at Mastro's and found the atmosphere and vibe to be outstanding. The 23 Oz dry aged steak ordered was not cooked properly to medium rare. It was sent back to be cooked to temperature and in the process was over cooked, tough and chewy. Not what I expected and disappointed in the steak. I hope others have had a different experience but overall not impressed.

The food and service were amazing! I had not eaten steak in a while so it's best to try it where you know the quality is top tier. We had the filet, shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, and sautéed spinach for our meals and sides and the butter cake and the chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was absolutely perfect. If you get any dessert, definitely get the butter cake.

The experience was wonderful. Service was top tier. The food was amazing I oreded the lamb chops with a lobster tail. My wife oreded a ribeye. Sides were Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Drinks were lemon drop and strawberry margarita. I will definitely be going back

We celebrated my wife’s 60 birthday at Mastros on Friday evening, we were seated in minutes and from that point on from the service to the food to the surprise dessert for my wife’s birthday it was all top notch! I have had great steaks over the years and Mastros was in my opinion the best I’ve had, the sides were for two people and tasted just has great as the steaks. I’d like to give a shoutout to our server Omar, really he was the perfect gentleman who took care of us and made the celebration better than we could have imagined! I’m coming back for my 65th birthday and- retirement dinner! Just excellent !!!!!

We stopped by Mastro’s with a few friends to enjoy some coffee, tea, and desserts, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with live music by a talented pianist and singer named Jessica, who truly elevated the evening with her performance. Their butter cake was really tasty and great (fatty lol 😂), and we couldn’t finish it.
The service was excellent—Kim, one of the managers, was exceptionally respectful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it’s a great spot to unwind with friends, enjoy some delicious desserts, and take in beautiful live music. Highly recommend!

Have dined at multiple mastro's and the Chicago location is as good if not better than the others. The steak perfectly cooked (had the bone in filet), the corn and lobster Mac & cheese was perfect and very sharable, and the sashimi starter was fantastic. The cocktails & mocktails were perfect. Great service and ambiance was fantastic!!

What an awesome experience! Mastro's really mad my B'day special. Ashley was thebomb.com! It was my 1st time in the lounge portion and she was attentive, proficient and quick. The live piano really was entertaining. Cognac & Scotch list is extravagant. The Bone in Ribeye was 🎯 and we topped it off with the Butter cake 10/10!

Omar was an amazing host for me and my girlfriend’s mastro’s experience. He made the dinner that much better. Definitely recommend the food and highly recommend you ask for Omar!
