Mather's hosted a group outing to Symphony Center for a presentation: Josephine Baker which included her first silent film with a premier musical accompaniment preformed by a live, full orchestra. It was an enjoyable experience!
The food was ok, some 2 ladies had a little arguement at the counter while she was taking my order and we waited for a longggggg time
Ultra modern styled cafe right in the Chatham neighborhood, which serve as a community gathering place, with good food, gracious staff, empowering programs, and activities to engage the neighbors within the neighborhood; this definitely makes it more than a café. This was my first time visiting Mather's definitely will not be my last. Upon entering I was greeted with a huge warm welcome that made me feel special. Once the Hostess was informed that this was my very first visit she personally took the time to give me information about activities and programs, while other staff members greeted regulars as if they were family members. Some may not like the fact that its open seating, and you go to the counter to order your food and pay before being served, it didn't bother me. Another thing that may give pause is the fact that plastic ware is given instead of silverware and our coffee was served in "to go" cups instead of coffee mugs or cups(we were told, the cups were being washed when our coffee was ordered), all of which again didn't bother me; but seem to bother my friend a bit. Breakfast is served all day, with a variety of breakfast dishes to choose from. Since I came for the breakfast, I didn't concentrate much on the lunch menu, will do next time. I had the Hobo Skillet, which comes without meat( sausage, ham, bacon, etc), so you will have to order your choice of meats to be included with the eggs and vegetable in the skillet.; it also served with two slices of buttered toast. Yum! The breakfast menu selection is nice with daily specials available all reasonably priced so not to break you. While waiting for my food, nice nostalgic R&B played in the background taking me back to the good ol' days....
Is okay, to quick stop for soup, the place is okay, they follow regulations, and the clients are decent, only alder people attend. Most important they don't give you attitude. But is okay
Such a quintessential, social dining experience. I love everything they represent and the food is quite tasty as well!
It's a nice place. Food is ok but ordering is slooow. Used to really like rhis place.
Love this place, service was fast, food was hot when it arrived at the table and tastie.
Great place for seniors to have lunch to mingle. We have computers that you can work on in classes to take.
Had breakfast, clean, personable staff. Wanted to collect my thoughts but was interupted by a lady who stuffs utensils into serving bags.
The food was horrible, the wait staff was unprofessional and the coffee was terrible. 2 stars because the building and the multi functions are great! The Hostess at the front door was the highlight of the morning for me.
