Matilda is such a fun neighborhood bar! At the end of August, I had a birthday party there and reserved the back bar area for it. The manager, Roxy, was super helpful and quick to answer any questions that I had. The event space was perfect for about 40 people and had very fair pricing compared to other similar venues. This was my second year having a party there and I will definitely have another one there at some point!
Our bartender, Misael, did a great job keeping up with everyone. Considering it was him vs a bunch of tipsy twenty-something’s, he was fantastic, super nice, and quick.
Overall, love the staff, location, and space. I’ve only ever had pizza and fries from here but they’ve both been good. Also, the bar, Baby Atlas, downstairs is a great time too! 10/10 would recommend.

Well executed pub food. Pretzel is exceptional. Cheese curds are perfect. Solid wings. Great lighting and interior. Fast and courteous service. Perfect spot if you're heading to or leaving the Vic.

Most tables were filthy with nobody at them. My fiance tripped and fell because they have a hole under the mat headed to the bathroom and the bartender goes "her tipsy ass fell," to the server Sal. We had one beer at that point. Extremely unprofessional and the food didn't make me want to come back either. Prices were great though.

Love Matilda’s!! Great vibe for watching sports and playing a card game/getting a good drink. Their beers and mixed drinks are delicious and Roxy was an awesome bartender!

Extremely rude and demeaning host. Clearly did not want us to be there. I would have immediately left personally but my group was hungry and didn’t want to wait while we found another location. Food was ok, nothing special. Will not return.
I normally never do reviews, especially because I work in the service industry as well. However, if I provided the service that I got here last night I’d be fired. We put our drinks in, and mind you the place was not busy. We put our food and drinks in at the same time, and the food came out before the server brought us our drinks. We were well into the meal before we received them. Also, our friend is strictly dairy free, so she asked if the burger could be with no cheese, tomato, or onion. When the food came out, guess what the burger had on it? Cheese, tomato, and onion! When we notified our server, she did not apologize, and laughed. She also never came to check in on us after the food, or to see if we needed anything. We paid our tab via the QR code and never saw her after we got the food. Again, I never leave reviews because I work in the industry as well and I totally get it, but I’ve never treated my tables that way, even when we were at our busiest hour. If there are problems with the bar or the kitchen, we understand. The problem is she was never apologetic and never seemed the slightest bit concerned. It’s all about how to present and manage the situation, and she did not do it well.

Love this place! I haven't tried too much of the food but I haven't been too happy with it, it's not BAD it's just not my style. Everything else here is, though, is amazing. The front bar is nice with a few booths and a nice big bar to sit at, while the back bar has a bunch of tables, big and small, and a smaller bar so you can hang with a bunch of people or throw a party. Not only that, but they have a wonderful porch seating area with very comfortable benches and a nice cozy atmosphere.
