Very beautiful from the outside & actually caught our eye driving by so we said why not! Do not expect anything special than any other McDonald's. Very very similar except they put different flavors on their "normal menu'd" items and call it food from around the globe. Which I can't blame if it's the exact same in different countries. On top of that, I was expecting a nice cool international/global menu and there was about 5-6 items that was their entire "global menu". The phone charging stations were cool though! While you were eating you can charge your phone on the table you were eating at. Epic. Also the service was pretty nice as well - I would say they went out of their way to give a good experience. That was a positive! The reason I give it 2 stars is for: the service, charging station, and it did put some food/substance in my belly (so I'm grateful for that). Personal Review: 4.9/10

My normal rating for McDonald's is always a 3. Very consistent and I know exactly what I'm gonna get. As long as their ice cream machine isn't broken ya get a 3, no extra work needed. The McDonald's here gets +1 stars for being McDonald's HQ. My favorite thing was just getting a chance to try the "global favorites" menu. From what I understand it rotates and overall was a great thing to check out. Will def recommend to my friends checking out ChiTown

This place is so cool! I knew I had to visit it when I was in Chicago. It features popular McDonald's item from other countries and I believe the menu item rotates out. However sadly I didn't stay long enough to try other potential items. The ones I did try mainly consist of different spicy chicken burgers from other countries. One thing I miss is the mcspicy chicken burger from China and they had the one from HongKong which is similar and really good!!! Also got their taco seasoning with the fries which was good as well!! The Minute Maid mango slush was also super refreshing. I wish there was a global McDonald in Canada too :( instead the Canada menu just complete sucks.

It's McDonalds so you can't compare to non-fast food places, but this is their restaurant for their global headquarters. This is the place where the McDonald executives eat (though I've never seen them actually eat there). It's super clean thanks to the staff and the service is immpeccable--at a fraction of the cost to the Corporate Food Court on Randolph and Fulton. You can spend $$$$$ more in restaurants across the street, and the service is lousy at best with the "Covid" markup prices. McDonald's food is not healthy, but it's also not bad. I go there for coffee and it's a super peaceful environment. Truly a hidden gem in the West Loop.

Very nice McDonald's with very nice seating. This McDonald's is listed as an international McDonald's. They have one item on the menu that they continuously change that comes from the menu of an international McDonald's. Interesting concept.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a couple years and finally stopped in today for lunch. I was expecting more items from other countries since it is the Hamburger University McDonald's... I saw something from Canada and the fries from France. The exterior is stunning. Walking in, there is an usual red glassed foyer. Cool so far. Once inside, there are only kiosks. No problem except I arrived right behind a large group of teens that literally hung out, chatted, made out etc. It took a bit too long to wait for nonsense. Once I finally finished my order and started walking around I saw a whole entire wall of kiosks not being used. I came over and told the waiting crowd about them. About that time an employee came over and told them what I just had. I think a sign directing waiting customers to the other area would help greatly. As I was waiting I saw a man pick up his food at the counter, only to return a few minutes later to have it corrected. I finally received my food and sat outside. I had to return to have my beverage corrected. I ordered the veggie burger, fries from France and a Diet Coke. The fries were great. They were piping hot and tasty. My burger was cold. Cold like it had been sitting for a half hour. I ate my food without my soda and then went in to correct it to drink in my car. I'm not a big McDonal's customer but wanted to feed my curiosity. The employees were pleasant but not efficient. They must direct waiting customers to empty kiosks to keep things moving if they don't have a sign to do so. It's also important to ensure the orders are correct. Polish up the service and efficiency and the result will be so much better.

We visited this location due to the offer of being able to try different menu items from McDonald's locations internationally. There were only 3 or 4 items from around the world and one of them was unavailable; this was quite disappointing. You can't view the menu ahead of time, online or anything, so once we were there we just stayed and ate anyway. The "international" item that we chose to try were the potato wedges from Canada. We all know what potato wedges are, but we tried them and definitely prefer them over the fries. I want to say that they were about $3 each though, which was a little steep. The location is nice and clean, but not as big as we expected it to be. We ordered at the kiosk and took a table number so that our order could be brought out. The staff was nice and they got our order correct....and they didn't charge for extra sauce! That was a win! Sidenote: I did feel like the filet o' fish patty was smaller (thinner) than what I get at my local McDonald's in Carmel, IN. I'm not sure, but the family agreed.

Came here after hearing this was the global McDonald's and was sad to see such limited international options. It was a spacious McDonalds and the service was great, but the menu was really just all regular menu items with THREE international options. I have heard they rotate options every so often, but to only offer a mocha Oreo McFlurry from Japan, taco shaker fries and a McSpicy hardly earns this place a visit for a "global McDonald's". The prices I think are on par with any other McDonald's location. It's attached to Hamburger University which is cool but you can't tour or see it because you have to know someone to go inside.

The is spacious and a nice clean McDonald's. However, we went hoping to try some of the international selections. Almost everything was sold out. Not sure if this is temporary or how temporary, but don't make a special trip.

I came to try the international menu a while back and was disappointed to find out that they were virtually sold out of everything from the international menu. The only thing available were from the normal menu, so we left. Today, I came back, only to find a very limited menu again. There's nothing too special on this menu. However, this McDonald's is exceptionally clean.

If you have read my last review you know that I love McDonald's. I'm telling you that this is literally just another McDonald's with a couple of extra items. I was told that this would have every item on the menu from every country, and I was sadly lied to. There was only three items to choose from that were international and most of them seem like things that you could theoretically create at another McDonald's. Is it cool to go into and check out yes but don't get too hyped up about it

This is probably the best location for McDonald's. I mean, let us just say it is the most beautiful location I have ever visited. The restaurant is clean and spotless. The interior is very modern, which gives a really wonderful atmosphere and vibe. Ordering is quick and easy using the kiosk. The service is friendly and accommodating. Last but not least, they have a global menu selection, which I think is the best part of the restaurant. Before I went to the restaurant, I was seriously looking forward to what I was going to order. I ended up ordering the goat cheese burger and the matcha green tea Mcflurry. Service is quick too. Apparently, the goat cheese burger I ordered was the global menu from Spain, and it looked really good with a toasted bun topped with sesame, a huge patty, and it also had mayo, some grilled onions, lettuce, and goat cheese! It was delicious. I really liked it. The goat cheese is a perfect combination with the burger, and I also liked the mayo, which is something different. It tasted smoky, and it was really good. I am not a fan of matcha, but I decided to try their matcha green tea Mcflurry because it sounded really interesting, and it was really good. The matcha green tea tastes good, plus it also has some crushed Oreos on it that definitely added to the deliciousness of the Mcflurry. If this restaurant was near my home, I would probably visit it often.

Had to come try the global menu! There weren't as many options as I hoped, but I think it's because they rotate the ones they offer. Out of 5 international options offered at the time, we got "mcpops" (filled mini donuts) from Spain, an onion burger from South Korea, and a chicken burger from France. It was fun to try the different meals and they were really tasty! The building is also really spacious and well decorated, kind of like how McDonalds is in Asia and how they're trying to renovate in some parts of the US. You can order at a digital kiosk or at the counter and a server will bring the meal to you and check your vaccination status. Clean bathrooms available inside as well.
