Lively and popular, serving authentic Lebanese fare. Some dishes were truly authentic and familiar. Others had taken some liberties. The makanek sausages were much thicker than normal and the spices were somewhat different. Same for the sujuk. Maybe they were adapting to the local taste (?). The server was truly attentive, friendly, and outstanding. There's a big buzz at the place and lots of young people. All good. The Almaza beer, from a bottle, was not poured in front...
As far as service was concerned, the server was very friendly. The only issue with service was that the soup was not brought out as the appetizer as requested and came with the entree. The biggest issue was that the chicken tawook was very salty. The food overall was cooked, but was not even warm when we received it. I've been here numerous times and never had a big issue with food temperature until this most recent visit. On the other hand, the food is typically pretty salty.
We were at the bar and had a fantastic dinner and cocktails. The bartender who took care of us was so nice and fun. He had a beard but don't remember his name, but we will definitely be back. The hummus, vegetable skewers and watermelon salad is so so so good.
