I want you to say how rude the people here are. I called to placed an order over the phone and got hing up 3 times, when finally got there to pick up my order they didn’t even have it ready and had me waiting 30 more minutes. Need better staff that doesn’t want to work.

Want Colombian food that tastes real? This is the place for quick bites and more to take home.

I drive 2.5 hours to go and stock up. Always worth it!

They added a tip I never authorized! All I bought was a buñuelo and almojábana so it wasn’t a lot of money, but that’s not the point. I didn’t even sit down! On top of that the almojábana wasn’t even good, it tasted more like cornbread.

I've been to Mekatos many times over the past few years and had always had great experiences until today. Today I went with my boyfriend who has never been there and left being insulted and disrespected. I placed an order for us and our families and the lady giving us the order stated I bet I can guess who paid, and the lady continued to say it was me because when the ladies pay the men are always showing them affection. My boyfriend had his arm around me and because of that she made a statement that was insulting insinuating that by boyfriend is a deadbeat and a mooch. Very ignorant of her. I called back to speak to a manager and was told there was none and the person I spoke to ended up being her. I will never go back to this place. No one should have to go anywhere and walk out being insulted regardless if it wasnt intentional.

Rude staff, customers don't deserve to be treated this way. I only spent about 5 mins there and of course I left because the service was awful. They should close this bakery or change the entire staff.

The cheese carimañolas were very delicious and the arepas with chorizos too. Unfortunately the service was not very good, it is unfortunate that Latin food places treat Latinos poorly.

They have a great variety of Colombian sweets, at the time I left 3.30pm they no longer had many breads, however I bought some, the churro was very delicious, as was the roscon, however the cheese bread was not delicious and did not feel very cool.

The place was good, the empanadas and the chorizo were not bad, just a little small, but the service is terrible, that person had very little desire to serve, we wanted to make 2 separate orders since we lived apart, and he was bothered by the simple fact of asking for prices, with the justification that “She was too busy to wait while we asked for prices”, in addition there was not a good assortment of products, very little variety and poor customer service.

Everything I ordered, buñuelo, almojabana and churro, was old. Additionally, the attention is terrible. Very rude in this establishment. I am Colombian and it makes me sad that Colombia is represented in this way in Chicago. I don't recommend it at all. First and last time I come to this place
