It's iconic in Wrigleyville lore for a reason. This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. The staff is friendly and attentive - no matter how busy it is. Atmosphere is low-key and the food is excellent. Can't recommend this place enough!

My absolute favorite bar in the city. As someone who is extremely picky about where he goes out to, Merkles checks all the boxes for me. Excellent atmosphere, reasonable prices, and just overall a great time.its also not uncommon to see the very personable owner and management indulging on the Merkles fun.Would give 6/5 if possible. but 5/5 will have to do :)
