We found this place by accident. We were going to another restaurant in the area but they were closed. This was a truly great experience.
The food was top notch! Chefs kiss to the chef! We both had pasta dishes. We could tell that it was fresh pasta. The flavor and texture were outstanding. We could both tell the difference, first bite! My grandson ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and he said it was the best he’d ever eaten.
The atmosphere was amazing. I would definitely recommend for a date night.

Very racist place. If you are white you will wait a lot time to sit down even they have 3 table. Don’t be happy to sit, they will come to get your order very late even there are 3 tables. You will find them talking and laughing back at the bar. We were there on 11.17.25 at 3.30p. You can check the camera records dear manager.

The reason why the waitresses give such lousy service.. is because a 18% gratuity is added automatically to your bill.
We repeatedly asked the waitress to cook the eggs a certain way.
When the food was brought to the table.
The waiter said- SHE NEVER TOLD HIM ANYTHING. This is not the first time.

Visited from Dallas for the first time
(10/13/2025 around 5:35) and was excited to finally try this place as my family in Chicago raves about it and goes often. The atmosphere was beautiful: cozy yet modern, with a lot of personality. I loved the vibe. The food and drinks were both really good.

Where they lost me was the service. The hostess and our server were very off-putting. There’s also a mandatory 20% tip, which I usually don’t mind in restaurants, but it felt undeserved this time. When the hostess is rude and condescending, and the server acts like every request is a burden, it really takes away from the experience. Whenever I come back to visit, I'm willing to give this place another try, I just hope the staff will be better.
(The manger was nice actually)

We stayed at the Sophy Hotel and had always thought Mesler looked inviting. The atmosphere is lovely, but the experience was disappointing. For a restaurant of this caliber, we only saw our server twice before receiving the check.

We ordered two drinks, two appetizers, and two entrees. The drinks were excellent and arrived quickly, but the appetizers (soup and calamari) took nearly 25 minutes and were served with one of the entrees. The soup had developed a film, and the calamari was cold. Every dish from the kitchen was brought by someone other than our server, and the second entree arrived more than five minutes later. When the server finally returned, we asked for water and were given a bottle to pour ourselves.

We also noticed a staff member with long hair combing it in the service area, which was concerning.

The food was very good and could have been excellent if served properly. The manager was gracious and understanding, but overall, the service issues prevent me from recommending this restaurant.

I had an amazing experience at Mesler last week for my mother's birthday. Maurice, the manager was so accommodating. He ensured that we had a great table and were sat very quickly. He put us in a lovely section in the back with the best server. The gentleman was charismatic, funny and very attentive. He was a great conversationists. I'll have to find his name, but he was wonderful. Both of them made our experience so positive and full of kindness. My family and I look forward to returning soon!

I visited Mesler Kitchen for lunch and ordered the Cobb salad. The salad itself was fine, but nothing to brag about. What really disappointed me were the five small cubes of chicken tossed in, why not a proper chicken breast? For $22 (plus an automatic 18% gratuity), I expected something more substantial. I actually left still hungry. Honestly, I don’t understand all the glowing reviews, the place feels overpriced for food that’s just okay.

I normally love the experience at Mesler but today was truly challenging from start to finish. The cherry on the top was the refusal of the chef to come out to the table at the customer’s request because he was too busy. Not a good move Mesler!!!!!

This review is specially for Maurice! He turned an unpleasant situation into an excellent experience and it was more than I could ask for. There was a mix up with my food but he handled it with such grace and positivity. I understand that mistakes happen and in this case it did take the 3rd charm to get my order right, but I’m not focused on the “mistakes.” How Maurice handled my wait while the kitchen rectified the situation was what I needed and it soothed the uncomfortably I experienced. Maurice is highly valued and I hope that Mesler sees and acknowledges it too. Thanks Maurice!! I’ll be back again because of you.
