While the service at the restaurant was exceptional, the disappointment lies in the food quality. Unfortunately, the culinary experience didn't match the level of service provided. I wist I would have seen the reviews before eating at the Mexico Steak House.

We ordered the half steak with stuffed chile with flan. The dish came with rice, beans, tortillas and salsa. The food was on point, well seasoned, the steak was so tender. The only downside was the rice.

We've been going here for almost my whole life. Great ppl, great food, even better memories. The enchiladas are a must, red or mole.Kid-friendliness: My parents brought my sisters and I here as kids and now we get to bring our kids. They have literally been family friendly for 35+ years.

It was a different style of Mexican cooking I ordered a torta and a rice water the horchata was nasty and the thought that was not on the correct bread and there was more beans and sour cream than meat I will not be eating here

I haven't been here since pandemic started ... and I'm glad I stop by so delicious and parking is free on the streets ... steak is super soft

A great neighborhood, no frills sit-down or takeout joint. Carne asada and house-mde chips always great, other food is good in general, but skip the chewy fried ice cream and dry chocolate cake. Service is friendly and prompt.

Update: This place is still just as good. The Milanesa dinner was excellent, the breaded steak was large and took up the whole plate almost, it was cut thicker than most places, (nice and crispy on the outside, and fork tender on the inside). Beans were very good, perfect texture (not runny), and rice was softer than most places but also more flavorful. Their salsa verde is excellent. You still get a free sopita (while you wait for your food) if you come for lunch during the work week. The prices have gone up, but they're still reasonable. Service is still excellent. It's a casual place, and little ones are treated well. The bathroom is still kept very clean. The chicken enchiladas in mole poblano are excellent. The chicken was moist, tender, and seasoned well. They didn't go overboard with the cheese like a lot of places do. The steak tampiqueña was delicious, I got it medium, and it was cooked to perfection. It's a thick, tender, nice sized steak. Their beans and rice are pretty good too, chilaquiles are great, especially if you like them crispy (they can sometimes go overboard on the cheese, though). They also have good coffee, flan and tres leches cake. If you dine in during the week, you get a free small sopa while you wait for your food. The bathroom was clean and had a changing table. The service was excellent.Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly. The ladies' bathroom is clean, roomy, and comfortable to change a baby in (I'm not sure about the men's room).Parking: There is paid street parking and on Sunday it's free.
