Tried this place out for the first time and I gotta tell you it hit the spot. I walked in and the place was empty, I don't know why but it was a nice place well kept and clean also friendly staff. To start they brought chips and salsa and thenI had the Mole Enchiladas dinner which includes a side of refried beans, rice and salad to drink I had a fresh made limeade and it was all very delicious (mole is a bit spicy). I gotta tell you that I almost licked the plate clean. The price was very reasonable I think I spent $15 and actually everything on the menu was reasonably priced. I will definitely be back and hope to see people there. It was a bit sad that I was the only person in there.

My daughter ordered 2 soups chicken tortillas and sopa de res . Was horrible barely any vegetable, no taste The sopa de res always come with a side of rice the meat was poor quality and was more water than anything else I don't understand how this restaurant is still in business I'm Mexican and I know how the sopa de rest should be taste . It's embarrassed that these people are serving this kind of food in Chicago NeVer Again .....

What a great gem of a Mexican restaurant. The staff was as great food. Birra tacos , Torta de Carne Asada, Pazole and Tamales.Definitely on my got to return list.Big room in back to throw a large party...gonna celebrate my birthday there.

I had the pollo con mole as a take out. The mole sauce was the best I’ve ever had, absolutely delicious. The problem was that the chicken was overcooked and incredibly dry, chewy, and unpleasant to eat. Hopefully they usually cook the chicken better because the mole is spectacular.
This place was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Not to mention it was less crowded, cheaper, and better tasting than other Mexican in the area.

I love Mi Fogata, one of my favorite restaurants. The staff and ambience is amazing!! They are always attentive to customers and the service provided. Mi Fogata is truly one of our family's favorite Mexican Restaurants. We dine there on a weekly basis and the food is delicious! Some of our favorites are their burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, guacamole and of course their homemade chicken soup! Their prices are extremely affordable as well. If you like Mexican food then you must try, Mi Fogata!

I just ordered a Steak Burrito Dinner (less than $14.00) for pickup. I live nearby and want to watch the 1st Illini football game. I can most certainly recommend this neighborhood restaurant, everything was like clockwork and if you live within walking distance like me, it is heaven sent. ??
