A random first time visit turned into a new must visit! Some of the best Quesa Birria tacos I've had in a long time.
Salsas have great flavor (and spice), Pico was fantastic, and the tacos quesa birria amazing.

Great burritos! Super nice staff. Clean, Cozy atmosphere:)
Was just driving in the neighborhood and saw this cute little mom and pop Mexican restaurant with Seafood. Had to stop in being from San Diego. Absolutely wonderful service, friendly staff, happy energy inside the place. Food was outstanding and fresh. I got the chicken salad and the grilled fish taco. More street size tacos. Definitely recommend

Bland and overpriced, many better alternatives in the area.
We came to Mi Pueblo Two in Chicago for a late breakfast (around 1 PM), and everything hit the spot. The staff was welcoming and on top of it—friendly, fast, and super attentive. Right away, we were served chips, salsa, and beans, which were all packed with flavor and a great way to start the meal.
We ordered tacos, chilaquiles with eggs, and huevos con chorizo—and every dish delivered. The tacos were loaded with well-seasoned meat and fresh toppings. The chilaquiles had that perfect crunch under the green salsa, with eggs cooked just right and a generous layer of crema and cheese. But the real surprise was the huevos con chorizo—super flavorful without being greasy, and paired perfectly with the rice and beans served in those fun crispy tortilla bowls.
Everything from the food to the service made this place feel like a solid local spot we’d come back to. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or something in between, Mi Pueblo Two delivers big flavor with a chill vibe.

I visited Mi Pueblo 2 today on a suggestion of my son and I was impressed. First the food was delicious (chicken tacos), the service was very attentive and the price, which I initially thought was too high, proved to be reasonable. When I first looked at the menu the prices seemed high, however, the helping sizes in the tacos made the price well worth it.
The only knock I would give them is the atmosphere. It's a small place and just lacks some color on the walls and maybe some light music playing, instead of the tvs. I will definitely be back.

Mi Pueblo Two in Waukegan is legit. I rolled in for lunch on Saturday and dug into three Al Pastor tacos with a side of elote and chips & guac. The pork was juicy with that charred smokiness, tortillas held up, and the green salsa had a nice kick. I washed it down with an ice-cold horchata that wasn’t too sweet. Staff was hella friendly and moved quick. The dining room’s cozy with colorful murals.

Hands down the best torta I have ever had. The fresh bread made all the difference. It was fluffy on the inside and just a touch crispy on the outside. The birria was tender and juicy. Everything fresh. Truly a pleasure to eat.
Edit: went back today for another and Google prompted me to update the review. Still good. Added another pic.

Veggie burrito $15.00!! 🤷🏻♀️Next time taqueria Hernandez on Lunt and Clark instead. From Hernandez I picked up 2 burritos 5 tacos (all steak) and 1 taco dinner with 3 tacos for $57. Forgot a veggie burrito so I went to Mi Pueblo 2 because it’s closer to home. $17.99 to be exact for the veggie burrito. Craziness.

Food hit the spot—got the carne asada tacos and a horchata, and my buddy had the enchiladas verdes. Everything was fresh and seasoned right. We spent about $30 total. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the service was a little slow even though it wasn’t that busy. Still, good neighborhood spot for solid Mexican eats without breaking the bank.

Great spot! I took off a star because it's pricier than other neighborhood Mexican restaurants, and the service is usually slow and kind of bad. The woman we had today was so wonderful and got us our food so quick! So it may just depend on the person or the day. I'll say the price is worth it because the food is goooood. Very easy spot to just show up and have a good meal.

This establishment took my order over the phone for delivery, sent me the wrong order. I returned the food and was promised a refund after the manager returned the next day. When I followed up the next day, I was berated for not simply eating what I was given and for not speaking Spanish. They kept my money (approximately $30), didn't fill my original order, and cursed at me until I gave in and hung up. This happened after more than 20 years of loyal patronage. No one deserves to be treated or taken advantage of in that way.
