Stopped by Midori for dinner on a Friday night and went all in with the Roberto Special Maki, spicy tuna roll, agedashi tofu, and miso soup starter. Fish was fresh and the rolls packed flavor, though nigiri rice was a bit dense. Ambiance is cozy and chill with tatami rooms that feel authentic—cute for groups. Service was warm and they bring hot towels, but the check took its sweet time. Overall, solid meal but a touch slow on service.
Absolutely loved my experience at Midori! The fish was incredibly fresh, the drinks were amazing, and the quality of everything was top-notch. Huge shout-out to Chef Robert for his excellent service — he really made the night special!
I love Midori Japanese on Bryn Mawr – it’s a cozy, authentic neighborhood spot with traditional decor, private tatami-style rooms, and genuinely warm service from Chef Roberto and the team. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh, the Roberto Special roll is huge and packed with flavor, and the tempura and agedashi tofu are consistently praised as some of the best in the city.
