A hidden gem in Avondale. Awesome polish bites like pierogis and delicious cappuccinos. Cold European imported beer on draft. Staff is amazing and everyone is very friendly in this cozy neighborhood cafe and bar. Highly recommend!

The polish blonde lady bartender is very transphobic and has no respect for the LGBTQ community and obviously doesn’t know anything about it . she has disrespected my gender I felt very uncomfortable I had to leave the bar because I was very upset and felt disrespected. she needs to be aware that there are plenty of people who are apart of the LGB(T)Q (like myself) to where they may not look the same as others but clearly are going through a transformation to what gender they want to be. She needs to have some respect and some education to people who are the same as me because people take that very personal because I honestly felt like she did that on purpose and I want her fired!

I decided to check out a local restaurant, as I live in the neighborhood and love Polish cuisine. I walked into a wide open dining room, candles blazing on the tables, saying not even a hello, before I was told that the kitchen was closed and given the option of eating elsewhere. Approximately six neighborhood drunks chuckled at me, along with the bartender. On a Friday afternoon. No indication on their website, no indication on their door that their kitchen was open only during certain hours and days. This establishment apparently has no desire to cultivate new or any business beyond catering to day drunks. Sad. First visit, last visit.
