I've been waiting for this location to open up for years, and I was excited when it finally did. I live in the neighborhood and have been excitedly waiting for the lines to die down before heading here.

I finally made a trip in the other day and got an iced matcha latte, a croissant, and the zucchini loaf. The food was very good, the croissant was pretty fresh and I absolutely loved the zucchini loaf. The iced matcha was my least favorite. It mostly tasted like milk, not much matcha in it, and the to-go cups are so low quality that the lids couldn't stay on. My partner had the same issue with the cups.

Atmosphere wise, it's too crowded currently for me to provide feedback. It seems like a great place to come and sit down and do work, but it's currently too busy (which is great for them!) for me to want to stay.

Ultimately, I think I'll have to give this place a few more tries before I make my decisions of whether or not to make it my regular spot. The food was great, but my go to drink (the iced matcha) was severely lacking compared to other neighborhood locations.

I loved the inside, great atmosphere, I got an iced vanilla latte. It was good, couldn’t really taste the vanilla however.

The good: The Americano I had was solid, no complaints. The espresso was well-balanced, not over or under-extracted, just right.
The bad: I came in hoping to try a pour-over and maybe grab some beans, but was told the pour-over machine was down for maintenance. Understandable, but a bit disappointing that the baristas couldn’t make a pour-over manually, something most coffee shops can handle without a dedicated machine. “Made by humans” indeed.

Coffee and pastries were so good. Service was also amazing. Sucks we couldn’t find a seat because of all the people taking up seats on their laptops doing full work shifts.

Place is really cute! Pastries were fire and coffee was great. Sucks that most people sitting were on laptops taking up space for longer than they should be. Like damn this isn’t a work from home office space. Honestly, this is more a critique on American coffee shop culture… but maybe you guys should consider banning laptops. People actually want to just sit, chat, and have a coffee.

Metric coffee has always been excellent and this place is awesome by extension. The savoury pastries are a great creation. The place and atmosphere is perfect for just about anything really. It’s probably the best all around coffee shop in Chicago.

I love metric and was so excited for this spot to open. The pastry program blew me away, on top of the coffee I already stand by. It’s also just gorgeous. So go. Make it fetch, make it happen.

Lovely cafe- prices are pretty typical for Avondale/Logan Square cafes. The pastries are excellent and the pour-over is both delicious and beautifully presented.

Immaculate vibes - the stone, succulent, and warm wood decor match with the earthy specked pottery & amber glass dish wares. Space is bigger than it initially appears to be, creating a sense of an intimacy.

Ordered the Paradise, Garlic Twist, and Ham Suisse. Kenya pour over was amazing. Really good classic cold brew. Good amount of spaces.

The coffee was truly delicious, and the pastries were top-notch. Both the pain de chocolat and cross laminated bun were buttery with good subtle crunch and flakiness! The space is really nice and amenable to conversations and hanging out.
