I’m pretty unhappy with my experience. We have a place we typically go to for cakes for our annual bday party and this year they were booked. I thought I’d reach out to a local place. Everything looked good until pick up. They forgot the writing on the cake. So I picked up a completely blank cake which was annoying. They offered a $5 refund which is honestly offensive considering I wouldn’t have ordered the cake without the basic writing. Whatever no big deal I thought and I fixed the cake up using things I got from the grocery store. I added the happy birthday candle and palm trees for reference. I go to cut it and I was actually shocked. Literally half the cake was this gross sugar frosting. Tasted worse than what you get in a jar and I paid $88 for this cake. I was seriously shocked. I will not be returning to this place.

I tried the matcha muffin and ube cookie. The former was gummy, the latter floury, and neither tasted like the ingredient in the name. A big disappointment.

The sign on the door said open 10am-5pm, but they were not open at 10:05am. Lights were off, no one was visible inside. Disappointing, as I was looking forward to trying this place.
I’m really disappointed with my visit today. This store claims to offer gluten-free and, at times, sugar-free options. However, during previous visits, I was told by a friendly staff member that certain items in the display were sugar-free. Today, I asked about the same items, and a different staff member, who was noticeably unfriendly and seemed unwilling to help, told me they were not sugar-free.
This inconsistency is very concerning, especially for people who rely on accurate dietary information due to health reasons. It makes me question whether the gluten-free and vegan labels are truly trustworthy.
If you have food restrictions, be very cautious. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I no longer feel confident about the transparency or accuracy of this shop's claims.
Sooo glad I finally checked this place out. Such a quaint spot with a huge dessert selection, made-to-order breakfast / lunch menu and coffee beverages! Great prices, super friendly staff & cute space. I got the biscuit egg sandwich with a dirty chai and they were to die for. They also have a weekend exclusive brunch menu. Just wish they had earlier hours during the week. Highly recommend!!
I bought a loaf of bread from them when they were at the farmer’s market in Printer’s Row. It’s the best bread I’ve had so far. I have Celiac and haven’t had gluten in four years. I could eat this bread by itself.
We’re so happy to have a gluten free and vegan bakery in our neighborhood. We have family and friends with diet restrictions. Their baked goods are still very delicious- especially the cookies!!

I don't even know how to adequately describe the things I tried - they were just odd! Such strange textures, beyond the usual gluten-free struggles. The only thing I liked was the buttercream topping. I wanted to love this place, but I'm afraid it's a miss for me! Updated from previous review on 2025-05-30
I had the chocolate brownie and it tasted nice, but it was a little gritty. I appreciated the option.

Absolutely unacceptable and unethical behavior from the owner, Dianne. I was contracted to do vendor work for this bakery and was promised compensation for a 6-hour working interview (stage). It’s now been over three weeks, and despite repeated follow-ups, I’ve received nothing but excuses, lies, and empty promises. I was misled from the beginning — Dianne clearly stated I would be paid the day after the stage. I have the text messages to prove it. Now, weeks later, she claims she "doesn't usually pay for stages" — a blatant contradiction of her own words. This isn’t just unprofessional, it’s exploitative. The level of dishonesty and lack of accountability is staggering. My time and labor were taken under false pretenses, and when I rightfully demanded my compensation, I was met with evasiveness and gaslighting. Dianne's business practices are not only unethical but borderline fraudulent. At this point, she is outright refusing to pay wages I rightfully earned. I will be filing a formal complaint with the FTC and exploring legal options to address her deceitful conduct. No one should have to fight for compensation they were clearly promised. If you value your time, integrity, or professional boundaries — stay far away from this business.
They were soooo helpful and went above and beyond with customer service.
My boyfriend is vegan and I couldnt find a bakery that would be able to provide a great cake for his birthday, and also be close to me in terms in location.
Everything they did to get my cake delivered to me last minute is so greatly appreciated.
Forever a fan!

My favorite place in Chicago! I simply cannot stop thinking about how good the brunch is. Unbelievably delicious. I am also a huge fan of their cake and their muffins. The best gluten-free vegan dessert I’ve found anywhere! My husband does not have any dietary restrictions, but he absolutely loves the smoothies!
