Honestly, the food at this Ming Xuan location is way better than the Chinatown branch. The dim sum shrimp dumplings are a bit salty but fresh. The Hong Kong-style fried noodles come in generous portions and aren't overly greasy (you can request less oil and salt when ordering). The radish cake features fresh, crunchy radish, and the fish dishes are completely free of any fishy odor. Overall, most dishes offer complex layers of flavor rather than just being salty.

We had made a reservation for 14 people in person 3 days before ,then reconfirmed the day before the party.we supposedly had a private room reserved for 1 pm .
We arrived at 12:50 and were told that a large group came off the street no reservation and were given our table.
It took 10 minutes for them to find a space for all of us ,then placed us in the drafty entryway . This was a birthday party and really unprofessional of them the way we were treated.
I will never eat anywhere and definitely not in that restaurant were courtesy is non existent. The food was ok not great ,very greasy.
Not my best experience in Chicago.

Very nice and relaxing place to eat. The food was delicious, but portions were way too big. I would absolutely eat here again!

From another state coming . Food was really good . Can’t ask more for it for that price . I ordered a bunch of them because i want to try . And they were all 9/10 . The fry rice was so good ( i like more flavor but it’s pretty much good ) . The pork was so good . They choose a good meat ( the fat wasn’t too much so you don’t feel too much when you eat , i wish the crunchy skin part could thicker but most likely not cause pork in America doesn’t have thick skin ) . The vegetables was 10/10 . Fresh . Crunchy , doesn’t smell oily . Nice . Other food was good and decent . As expected. Thanks you . Waited was nice . Probably need more attention but was real nice . I forgot the card and the run out give it to Me

Went here on a rainy day and the place still had a lot of guests which speaks alot for the restaurant.
The staff here were extremely attentive and their service was exceptional. They start with giving complimentary tea. We had veg dumplings, pork dumpling, fried rice and crispy fish fillet. The food was great and the portion size did not disappoint.
The restaurant overall is extremely spacious.
Will definitely visit again.

Went here as a totally random place to eat after visiting the Field Museum and it was so good. We had a selection of dim sum. Absolutely fantastic and inexpensive to boot. Would highly recommend to anyone anytime!

Pleasantly surprised to find a Dim Sum restaurant serving after 2pm. No carts but the food came out quick, hot and delicious. This menu did not disappoint.

Fairly empty on a Monday at lunch time. I have been to several MingHins. Some have gone thru some growing pains. This one does not seem to suffer from it: food and service were spot on.

Writing this poor review because we went there on a Friday night with reservations made days prior to get dinner before a concert and when we walked in they said “right now we are not honoring reservations because we are busy”. We were not seated despite having a reservation and had to find another place to eat before a concert where every other place on a Friday night was extremely busy. I have emailed and seeing as they haven’t responded I think that people should go somewhere else that tries to mediate situations like this one or at least is apologetic. There are great restaurants in Chicago that would appreciate the business and it doesn’t seem like this place is one of them if they’re too busy to respond to this or seat reservations.

Pretty mediocre for the price. Nothing tasted fresh. Most bites were bland. Wouldn’t repeat - head south an extra mile and eat in Chinatown.
