I wish I could give more stars! Best Mexican food in Chicago! We moved here from New Mexico 2 years ago and hadn't found a Mexican restaurant we enjoyed. The chilaquiles were perfect and the red chile sauce with the beef tail tastes like home. Edit: I forgot to mention the made to order fresh tortillas! Wonderful. The staff was also super sweet and attentive. Thank you! ❤️

This places is the real deal, authentic and delicious, glad I found something pretty similar to what you can eat in Mexico. I just wished it were slightly bigger to be able to accommodate bigger families but overall love the friendly service and definitely great food.

If you want to experience the real Mexican Food from Mexico City, then this is the place! Let's remember that Mexican food varies significantly according to the territorial zone. For instance, the north is entirely different from the central and southern parts of Mexico. So, if you are looking for the amazing Mexican style in Ciudad de Mexico, you are in the right place. Its food is out of this world, it's as if you were eating at your mom's meals, or even better, your grandmother's house. My favorite is the Las Albondigas (Mexican Chipotle Soup Meatballs). The Mole is OMG. And anything else you might order, you will be SUPER SATISFIED!

if you’ve ever had the privilege of eating in Mexico, you will love Minna’s. When I step inside, I’m genuinely reminded of Mexico. Minna’s smells like the motherland, and luckily, it tastes like it too. Everything from the juices to the smoothies to the tacos tastes like something straight out of my grandma’s kitchen.
The place itself is always clean and it offers booths and counter service for seating. Also, everything is very reasonably priced. If you want an authentic Mexican experience, go to Minna’s!

Loved it. Definitely packs up your stomach if your hungry. Tacos are the bomb. So is the Horchata! Strongly recommend. Tables and seats were clean, a little small but that's what you get when your in Chicago.
Today is my birthday and it was special to eat here and by a chance I got to meet the owner( Minna) she is very sweet and nice to talk to. I love to eat the Quesadillas de Flor de Calabaza. MINNA gave me a free Orchata Drink. I am thankfull. Also I was not expecting this but Minna and her crew working there (Such amazing woman working there and happy to serve) sang Happy Birthday to me. It was special I will never forget! Minna if you see this Thank you for being nice and talking to me. I give this place 10/10 in service and 11/10 in Food service. Delicious

By far one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food reminded me of my mother’s pueblo in Guerrero where I first tried the amazing herb that is papalos or summer cilantro. I was so excited when I saw fresh bunches on other customers tables that I had to order some for myself. I was even more delighted to learn that they are grown locally by one of the sweet ladies who served us. The handmade tortillas in the green salsa chilaquiles were just amazing with the perfect amount of spice. We had picaditas with red salsa and it was spicy but delicious. Truly felt like mom, grandma, & tias home cooking & I can’t wait to be back for more. I also had a delicious fresh beet & orange juice. We enjoyed the see-thru style kitchen and although the place was tiny and jam packed on a Sunday afternoon, it is absolutely worth the wait.
