Mixteco Grill (Wicker Park)

This place has been my go to for delivery for a few years now! It’s so tasty, affordable, and quick.

Ordered tacos, nachos, and street corn for take out. Nachos were missing sour cream and tacos were mediocre. Street corn was good.

I can’t say enough good things about Mixteco Grill! Every dish we tried was absolutely amazing — you can really taste the care and quality in every bite. The homemade horchata was a standout too — so fresh, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

Really disappointed. I paid extra for the “make your own bowl” just to make sure it did not have beans, something my IBS makes me super intolerant to. Got home and my bowl is filled with beans. Basically half the bowl. I picked through what I could since it was almost 11pm at night and I had nothing else to eat, through most of it away, and still felt like crap immediately after. Do better guys.

I’m not usually a big food critic, but I have to say, this place is amazing! After eating way too many tacos that were just okay, I was blown away by how good these tacos were. They were so tasty and not too expensive, which is a huge plus. I highly recommend the taco dinner - it was so good that I ended up ordering more tacos just to make sure I didn’t miss out on any of the deliciousness!

The Chimichanga does not disappoint, absolutely wonderful. Very flavorful, and the side condiments are an added bonus. Great environment, very clean.

Prices high and there food not so good. Had an al pastor burrito with everything did not like the taste and it tasted more mushy than flavorful

I usually am very hesitant to leave a bad review on a small business, but in this case it is very much deserving because this business and restaurant chain lack the fundamental value small business offer including accountability and ownership. Since August 2024 I have been trying to get in touch with the owner of this restaurant due to legal concerns and he has consistently failed to reach out or respond back to me. The manager of this location also refused to share their information and instead had me communicate via their attorney who has also stopped responding. This restaurant isn't a big corporation or chain, so as an owner do your job and hold yourself and your restaurant accountable when you are in the wrong. Shame on you and your establishment. Do better.

My second time here. We got six tacos between us and all were great. Staff was so nice. Reasonably price and pretty stuffed tacos. Very fresh ingredients. We'll be back.
