Really sumptuous food that taste like home! Authentic African cuisines and super tasty African tea! The service was wonderful, the owners and staff are patient and friendly! Food was ready in minutes! Did I say the tea was super flavorful? Affordable pricing and free parking at the back of the restaurant! Super recommended eatery if you enjoy home cooked food!
Vegetarian options: Choice of rice or chapati to go with the deliciously prepared vegetables and beans!
Parking: Right behind the restaurant under the “L”

oh my gosh. first time eating Somali food. absolutely loved experimenting with different types of breads, the different condiments, eating with banana pouring tea with spices on the food. what a great variety of combinations. So absolutely delicious. if I lived locally to Chicago I would be eating here on the regular! place is simple in decor, long on wants and hospitality. not a lot of seating. five tables total. customer base seems very friendly lots of smelling cab drivers.

Great authentic Somali food with large plates. Owner is very nice and helpful. It has free parking and adequate street parking. Location is amazing. The space is too small and can be crowded at peak hours.

My spouse and I both had the lamb shank. It was generously portioned, and the lamb was tender and delicious. The staff were also very friendly. We would like to come again.

Tasty inexpensive food, informal atmosphere. I had the vegi dish, which was nicely seasoned beans, sauted
cabbage, salad and your choice of flat bread or rice. Wife had steak with rice, beans and cabbage. Her rice was definately better than my bread. The other customers were all Somali men, yaking away.

Fabulous lamb shank tender succulent eith lentils, jasmine rice, and spiced vegetables. The fried samosa resembling pastry and sweetish fried dough are ok, no longer crispy if for take out.

The restaurant is not Somali at all. The cook is Mexican and the owner is Ethiopian. The food was terrible and the worst Somali food we have ever eaten. The goat meat was rubber, unseasoned and hard to chew. If you want real authentic Somali food head to London or Minnesota.
