Momentum Coffee - South Loop

I was looking forward to trying Momentum Coffee, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. The Peach Cold Brew was not enjoyable, and when I shared my concerns, the staff did not offer a replacement or even a partial discount. I was told that no manager was available, which felt like an inadequate resolution. In situations like this, it would be helpful if team members were better trained or empowered to address customer issues. Additionally, I noticed pitchers of cold brew sitting out on the counter, which raised concerns about freshness and quality. I hope this feedback is received constructively, as there is potential for improvement.

I enjoy every visit to this family-owned spot. You're greeted as soon as you enter, lines move fast, prices are reasonable, menu items are attractive, and the food is fresh and delicious. Oh, and the music is a vibe. Dunkin and Starbucks don't deserve my hard-earned money. I'd rather give it to Momentum.

Food and coffee were great. Service is slow. The employee with the large lashes is incredibly rude and dismissive. When I tried to talk with the owner, she was equally rude and dismissive. The music is loud, and you'll need noise-cancelling headphones to work there. Go somewhere else. There was once an African-American young lady who wore a Trinidad hair scarf and was diabetic; sorry, I noticed her arm device, and I am an RN. She was pleasant, welcoming, and customer-focused, but I haven't seen her since summer 2024. Find her, bring her back, and promote her. Until then, I will not return.

My favorite sandwich is the sausage, egg, and cheese on a fresh croissant. The coffee is strong, so if you get a small latte, get 2 pumps of flavor if you like it sweet.

The Food came out hop and fresh! I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a lm ice coffee! Out of this world. The bill was only 10$. The iced caramel latte is to die for. These ladies were so nice, come shop soon! (South Loop)

I was extremely hopeful when I went here as I love experiencing new coffee shops across Chicago. But let me tell you, this place was completely disappointing. My coffee wasn’t even hot when I received it And it was extremely watered down. It’s unfortunate because the staff was pleasant which shows me that this is a reflection of the owners. Then it got worst. Then owners arrived (husband and wife). I was hoping to have a conversation about the quality of the product but the wife was so rude and ugly as she tugged her husband around on a lease.

This is a very nice low key cafe with delicious coffee.
Nice small choices of food and plus delectable pastry options.

Definitely worth it!

Outdoor patio area. Metered street parking. Not difficult to find a parking spot.

Affordable sandwiches and sooo friendly! Petra greeted everyone who came in and there were regulars and conference travelers alike. Decaf coffee was good which isnt always the case

This place truly feels like home! Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a warm smile and called by name. The customer service is outstanding—far better than any Starbucks or Dunkin’. Momentum has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing it for yourself!

I went this morning while attending a convention in town and I’m happy to come across this gem. The chicken sausage breakfast sandwich is out of this world! The coffee grains they use are of quality resulting in a delicious latter. The staff handled the crowd good and were amicable and inviting.

Please bring one to Dallas, TX!!!
